My scary experience was working in that place. I used to have different second jobs in all the well known companies, just for the heck of it. That was the worse place ever. It got to the point that one day, my "supervisor" started with her snobbiness and beachiness; I said "catch" and threw her the key to the jewelry and high end computer stuff. I then told her "I quit, mail me my check".

I used to work at Toys R Us many years ago to make extra money for the holidays, if they need hires bad enough, they would sooner wave background checks, hire felons and pay under the table than raise the pay to incentivize increased application. It's a blessing to come across benevolent management when starting a career.

Story 7 is absolutely infuriating. Op kept calling the creep a kid when he was 19/20 years old. That is an entire adult (new to being an adult doesn't matter) who absolutely knew better. If he didn't know better he wouldn't have been so scared when caught. People like that op really need to get a better grip (edit: grammar)

Not to mention having more sympathy towards the creep than the women who were being creeped on. AND how many people did he harass that were too disturbed to say anything? Or were scared that their words would be brushed off w/ a "I'll look into it"? Also also, "the girls at my school won't date me" is not an excuse or reason to assault or harass anyone

Her story started by her feeling sorry for herself bc people not college educated *like her* had the same job as her so she's not exactly the brightest bulb in the box. Imagine feeling sorry that people less fortunate than you have jobs. SMDH. Also, her silence about being assaulted means that creep very likely went on to do the same to other women. 😔

The last story kinda rubs me the wrong way. This manager was not only more willing to believe someone because they looked more wealthy (which, fine, I get that the first woman's story was flimsy, but that just sounded really bad), but was fine with letting off a guy for creeping on and GROPING women (the second woman literally said that he touched her...), because he was ugly and awkward... That's not an excuse.

I’ve heard tales of these mythical, naive people that don’t know the difference between a bag of lavender and a bag of pot, and get to work quite early because they so dislike being late- because ‘on time is late’... but until the first story, I thought they were just that: a myth. Whoa.

The last guy made my blood boil, especially when he said all the female customers with less money were ‘obviously looking for handouts’ and he only listened to the wealthier customer. And when he said the creepy dude didn’t do anything ‘too bad’ in the start. So disgusting, this is what makes it hard for women to report and also trust men. I got such a ‘nice guy’ vibe from him.

Here's another safety tip if you feel like you're being followed in your car. If you have Google maps search for police stations near me. Follow the directions. Go straight to the police station. If they don't stop following you go in and tell them what's going on. That's should work. Good luck out there and stay safe always.

The manager in that last story is such an ass. 'He's such a good boy, he gets good grades and goes to church and promises he'll never sexually assault anyone again!'. No, you call the police the first time. The creep made the choice to sexually assault people and needs to face the consequences. The fact that they were willing to let that slide is why so many creeps get away with what they're doing, because people like that manager enable them to.

Well, how else would you phrase it if u have some OCD tendencies but dont have an OCD diagnosis? There are a lot of people who fall into that category. Like someone who is extremely obsessive about orderliness in their home but not about anything else. I don't think the OP was trying to be disrespectful or flippant of the disorder...just trying to describe their mindset in the most succinct way possible. I understand being frustrated when people act flippant about it but that isn't always the case.
@apocryphalcyon
@apocryphalcyon 3 ай бұрын
@buckeyegirl16 again, as i said, you wouldn't say "a little schizo" or something of the sort. ocd is a disorder. obsessive compulsive disorder. as someone with OCD, it's just tiresome to constantly hear it watered down like how people say "everyone is a little autistic". i am sure not everyone means it maliciously, i just want to spread the word about it being used in such a frustrating way.

I would really like a theme video that features no stories about women being (or almost being) assaulted. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy all your videos but sometimes it's nice to listen to scary stories without the uncomfortable feelings those kinds of stories give off (which is a different feeling from fear, I think). It's funny because I worked at Target for over a year. I just quit there about 2 weeks ago. The scariest thing that happened was a guy hiding in our receiving area. A definite druggie.
