Unhealthy habits to cut: 1. Drinking alcohol 2. Unconscious eating habits 3. Being around people with negative or fixed mindset 4. Consuming media that does not add value to your life 5. Spending money that wasn't budgeted on things you don't need 6. Speaking negatively about yourself 7. Bottling up emotions

Thanks for the video. Things that have assisted me in living a more peaceful life: 1. Taking daily walks for fresh air (usually in the evening after work) 2. Daily morning meditation (between 5-10 minutes) 3. Daily prayers 4. Daily affirmations (I follow them on YT) 5. Daily motivational video (on YT, listen to it while I get dressed) 6. Finding a fasting routine that works for me- I am currently on the Daniel Fast for the second time, which is helping me to cook more of my meals (due to the restrictions on the fast) and enjoy simple things like fruit to sweeten my oatmeal (no added sugar allowed).

Bottling up feelings is one of the most difficult habits for me. Even journaling doesn’t help because I just censor my feelings when I write about my experiences. I did notice that I could express feelings through creating stories, though. Like, it provided enough distance to start processing things. Thanks for the tips!

What a great guy! Most things u said aren't new, like everyone talks about them till the point it's annoying. But the way you care about how to express yourself and being understood, wooow. It genuinely feels like you care about who's watching, and then delivering such great advice on that tone really helps ur message get across. This video might actually help me change my life

I've been bottling up emotions to the point I got burned out. Still am. I've had too many work days and not enough rest, only one day here and there, and it's not enough to recharge my energy. There's so much noise at work: the radio, the cash register, the conveyor belt, the in-ear pieces and co-workers talking nonstop, while simultaneously having to try to listen to what the customers are saying. I've constantly been the main cashier even though I have my own department to take care of (I work in a department store). My HSP brain finally had enough and completely burned out over the Christmas week. I'm constantly annoyed, angry and unpleasant to people, and even at home. Well, I told a person at work (a higher up) about it how it's stressing me out that I can't get things done in my department when I'm constantly at the cash register + I told her about being a HSP = hence why I would like a break from the cash register. The next day she was telling this to someone else like it was all a joke: "You should have heard her yesterday, she was talking about how she likes it when it's quiet and the next second she's talking to me anyway". I got so mad (didn't show it), here I am opening up about something serious and personal and she jokes about it to someone else. So today at work the moment I stepped foot there I was already in a really bad mood. I'm in a massive negative hamster wheel and I have no one to talk to about it. I tried telling my partner how stressed out I am and his reply was "well don't stress then" and I broke down and cried. When I finally open up to people they don't understand what I'm telling them. Being a HSP is hard when people don't take you seriously. I'm so sick and tired of feeling bad and being in a bad mood constantly.

Identifying a few habits that have the MOST positive or negative effects has really helped me because having too many self-improvement goals ironically overwhelms me into escapism with bad habits. D'oh! 🤪 For me, cutting out sugar & excessive TV/social media + adding exercise, healthy food, good sleep, & daily progress towards longterm goals has exponential positive effects. And as a bonus, when I prioritize them, I *naturally* feel more energy and capacity for tackling additional challenges. Huzzah! 😃

Thank you so much for the helpful content, especially from minute five onward. As a 70 year old I have been thinking a lot lately about the friends I’ve had for 30 4050 years. To be honest, I don’t think that I would seek out a few other people again as friends because we have grown so far apart in our interests. And, like you mentioned, some of the folks are consistently quite negative. However, these people hold so many shared memories with me that I would not give them up. I think what I would do is I would increase my circle of friends a tiny bit so that I still have time to interact with my negative friends but maybe not intensely spend as much time one to one with them. I have also found that spending time in a small group dilutes the impact of their negativity. Best wishes to you and your family.

As always, the teacher arrives when the student is ready. Thank you for being a great vessel for these beautiful and healing guidelines. In this season of my life I started, using a lot of support, responding differently to familiar sitautions, through the fear. The mental and spiritual muscles that I'm learning to use are still achy, and the process is one of the most meaningful I choose to show up for as an investment in my future.

I'm the same with alcohol. I'm diabetic and I realized that every time I drank no matter what it was I always felt terrible during and after. My body just couldn't process it and it was causing havoc on my hormones. And it's expensive!! I kind of just shyed away from it because I didn't like feeling horrible and just ended up not drinking and there are lots of good substitutes if you just need a cup as a crutch in social situations

About the media : I am an avid redditor and has been for 10 years. Redditors are basically gloomers and doomers thus I became one too, and always blame everyone and society for my failure. But then about a year or two ago I started going to AmItheasshole sub. This sub change my perspective because all the assholes sounds exactly like ME. It made me realize I was wrong all along. The comments show me that yes, it is true the society and everyone is sometimes at fault but I have the personal responsibility to myself to survive and not just laying down crying about it. I am trying to change little by little, it's hard but I know the only way is through.
