Last one is spot on, in 8+ years of riding I’ve only had to stop 3 times, 1st time, the dudes engine was running rough so he had pulled over. I checked if he needed a phone or some water, he let me know he already called the local bike workshop and they were coming with a trailer to pick him up. Took 30seconds out of my day but for the peace of mind, it was worth it. 2nd time, guy ran out of fuel 5miles from a fuel station, so I offered to take him up the road and back to get a jerry can. Took 15mins out of my day but the guy ended up insisting on buying me lunch, so worth it I guess. 3rd time, watched a guy go into the ditch and he ended up under his bike, I was the only one who saw him go down, if I hadn’t have stopped, god knows how long he would have been down there or even if he would ever be found. Another 2 bikers stopped when they saw my bike parked on the road above and came to assist and the 3 of us were able to get the bike off him and stabilise his spine, It took an ambulance, 2 fire trucks and 3 cop cars worth of personnel, equipment and expertise to cut back the trees and brush and safely hoist him up and out. Dude sends me a Christmas card every year along with a drawing/painting of my motorcycle done by his kids. Took about an 1hr and 45mins of my Sunday afternoon, but gave that dude a lifetime with his family in return, so again, worth it.

I explained to her you ALWAYS adopt a rider especially when the weather is bad and they're under the speed limit. Be that blocker for them because there is a chance they're not used to riding in bad weather or if they are and you don't want someone in a vehicle getting up on their ass because they're riding at a speed they're comfortable with. My oldest has no urge to ride but my 14 year old will likely ride once he turns 15 and can get his permit and I dont think he realizes that I'm so much more excited for it than he is. He does wish my dad still rode but is hoping my uncle will still be riding when he legally can. We all expected his rectal cancer to kill him withen 6 months..he's almost 2 years and is doing great. I was surprised my sons mom told him she was cool with him getting a bike instead of a car when he turns 15.

The most important bit of advice I've ever been given about riding as safely as you can is... ALWAYS ride your bike as if you're INVISIBLE and everyone around you either don't see you, or in some cases, They Literally Don't Give A Rat's Ass About Your Personal Safety!!! What I'm about to tell you is A TRUE STORY... 😊👍 I was driving on the QEW from Hamilton, Ontario, going to meet someone in Burlington, Ontario. I was approaching the craziest case of ROAD RAGE I've ever seen... Some insane guy driving a mid-size car, at about 65 miles per hour, actually serving at a guy riding some type of Cruiser Style, 650cc, Yamaha Motorcycle. The guy in the car was literally trying to side-swipe the Motorcycle repeatedly for about 3 or 4 miles. I honestly felt at the time that the guy in the car was going to kill this guy on the Bike, that I was forced to put my Pick-Up Truck in between the two until the guy on the bike was able to get off the Highway while I kept the guy in the car on my left side so he couldn't chase after the bike... 🤔 😳 I guess the reason I decided to share this story is because... Everyone who rides a motorcycle and hasn't seen something like what I just explained above... 🤔 You all need to clearly understand that there are people out there who are at least this aggressive, so you really need to understand that you can never let your guard down, because you really can't ever know what type of person is driving the vehicle next to, behind, or even in front of you... And one of them could really just snap, and turn their focus on you at any time, and they can easily take your life in the fraction of a second!!! Please always ride safe by always practicing to increase Your Situational Awareness, while riding as if YOU REALLY ARE *INVISIBLE* Never Allow Anyone To Ever Have More Power Over Your Life, Than You Do!!! 👍🙏❤️ Just Sayin'🤬

Most times that I've seen is newbs don't because they have that new bike and in a curve on the hi-way..... they are scared S-less and aren't even looking at you. Don't be offended.... The fun ones are when you pass each other in a curve at 70 mph, in lane position1, and you drop the salute and 20 bikes flag back, and you are close enough to smack palms with them... and then 500 feet later, Both hands back on the bars and you carry on ..... Stay Safe

As far as drinking and riding, technology has come a long way in the recent years. Heineken makes a 0.0 alcohol content beer that taste like the real deal. I cannot tell the difference. A much better choice for riding and also for your health.

@liesdamnlies3372Ай бұрын
@@jesstreloar7706 Yeah mixing alcohol with motor vehicles is just a bad idea. Drink responsibly and give your liver ample time to deal with the alcohol so you’re sober when you ride/drive. Or alternately, just don’t drive/ride to your drinking destination, so you literally _can’t_ get home by driving/riding yourself. Get a cab, or have a DD (I happen to be a perfect DD since I can only afford one drink a week because of a bunch of health stuff. Liver’s fine though so can handle a bit.)

Pack riding rules are fine for the pack. Packs should not be trying to enforce made-up rules on other riders. And not all packs are like that, to be clear. I agree that an outside rider should not join a pack, and no rider should try to share a lane with another rider they don't know unless invited. Same with parking. But a pack should not threaten riders trying to pass the pack, or try to force a rider back beyond safe following distance from a pack. That behavior is just schoolyard bully Karen stuff. If the pack doesn't want an outside rider following them, they should make it possible to pass, not block them across multiple lanes. I'd think having an unknown rider behind the pack would be more worrisome than that rider in front of the pack. And, where I live, rather than a wave from a cruiser, you'll likely get the finger, if on a sport/naked/ADV/dualsport/trike. Hell, if you are wearing traditional protective gear, not a vest, not a half helmet and riding a street glide, they won't wave. Ick, you wear a full face. No wave for you.

I throw down the 2 finger wave regardless. Do i think its a dick move from those who dont wave by choice? Not entirely. By choice, fine whatever, be dick i guess. I see it happen from every style of rider, not just Harley riders. It can happen from any rider. If its because you're focusing on what's in front of you, in daylight or at night, ok that's fair. Crossing interections or approaching them if i wave or they wave but one of us cant wave back, i nodd acknowledging the wave if i have to slow down or shift still acknowledging their wave and i can see for a split second they saw i acknowledged them. Pulling up on another biker at a stoplight is never a wrong or a bad thing to do at all. I'm no expert but it's common sense for safety reasons, the more riders are together(as a pair or larger) in moderate to heavy traffic the easier you are seen reducing the chances of being hit by a car. I never pull up to have conversation. He looks at my bike, I look at his, giving the nodd acknowledging him as a form of riders respect for his bike. That's on the rider if he "wants to clear his head" and wants to be left alone. Bottom line is that rider knows the most important thing riding is safety, i dont care how much of a rebel child various riders are. Fine, do it when its quieter with traffic or nobody's around, I do it, we all do it. Maybe a rider rolls up on another rider to be better seen by traffic. Imo that's more of a safety benefit than a burden to pace with another until reaching yours or the others breakoff point. Done it numerous times with other riders where I ride and never had a problem, doesn't matter who it is or what they're riding. From the café bobber, sports bikers, HD outlaw riders or the MC riders, to adventure riders. Never had a problem. That's just me and my experience. If I get a rider flying by me in traffic, fly by me if that's how you ride. I don't. Carry on

Flashing lights or head tapping is protected speech under the first amendment. It’s a form of nonverbal communication that relays information. If a cop tells you otherwise he’s lying to you and if you get arrested for it or detained , then you have a lawsuit.
@Sharky_On_The_RoadАй бұрын
ok. I`ve seen on a few of the crotch rocket videos is dumb kids patting their heads when they see a cop car. It`s for telling other riders a cop is close. Not sure if many know about it.

I don't know if your other videos are similar to this one. Since you asked my opinion, do you ever get to the subject matter? Its one long commercial! If you're not pushing yourself or a product, it's a whole lot of talking without saying anything. In other words, Dude, get to the point! And on the subject of "Waving" at each other, keep your hands on the bars. So don't act like you're like me. I've spent decades earning respect, and you go buy a new bike, and you call yourself a biker? Most of you newbies don't even change your own oil! So, if you don't know me, keep your pointing finger wave thing to yourself. One question, tho, if a group of 20 bikes are going the opposite direction , am I expected to point wave thing 20 times? C'mon. Also, keep your eyes to yourself. Otherwise, you might find trouble when you least expect it .
