Harstem would have had a way to verify that this wasn't some elaborate troll, via the replay tools that he uses by checking player actions, so this can't be it. It could be that this game was between two friends who "arranged" certain developments and outcomes. It could also be that the Protoss intentionally played horribly so that he could get his point across. It could also be that Harstem knew perfectly well that this game was going to be a complete disaster, but decided to show it anyway, as it would have been good humor as well as a good exercise in rage & meditation. PLUS the IODIS rubric was in somewhat of a drought recently, so he compensated for that with a really, really long video to sate the audience's thirst for it.

Back ın 2012 it took me 30 games to go from bronze to silver on european servers. Not one opponent was complicit. Everyone was playing at top shape. Everyone rushed, Everyone had perfect creep spread, I just gave up at that point after 30 games to go up a single rank with sweat and blood. I had intense moments of hysterical laughter. I consider myself a pretty poor pvp player. I'm more of an achievement hunter. I've learned build orders and abused AI, performing outmatched AI crushers and every campaign achievement, and can execute brutal co op with random strangers with better knowledge and control than Harstem has shown of late with Dehaka and upatree. Still, I hit platinum back in late liberty, early heart of the swarm days, and would figure I'm a solid silver by today's merits- but I KNOW I would be able to play a better protoss or terran than that. I rarely scout, my creep spread is so so, i never inject past 5 minutes into the game, and build macro hatcheries instead, and have an average apm of 40-50, and I would love the chance to play a serious game against either of those two players to show I would win it. please comment back with some kind of discord or battletag id so we can communicate and setup a garbage league game of our own that hopefully harstem would comment about.

I guess the making lots of workers thing can get you somewhere. In Silver/Bronze he probably faced people who just had less workers than him and didn't scan vs DTs and such. It's painful to watch someone make so many Probes and nearly no army though.

Vibe makes it look good with his GM macro which very few players can replicate... this guy's macro was god awful so I can't see him influenced by that.

? That is actually normal for professional play. Blink is the safest opener to counter all forms of harass and give map control. You do not want to build many Stalkers after the early game, maybe later if you transition into Stalker/Disruptor.

I don't actually play multiplayer. I just enjoy the campaign, and watching the pros play. However, I am considering picking up multiplayer, if for no other reason than to send Harstem a replay for him to tell me I suck at the game.

Computer with toss on it is a crappy 20 year old laptop with dial-up connection and computer with terran is 1000$ gaming rig with 0 ping cable connection.
