Alpha's doing your testicles a solid! In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro says this video is all about testosterone. Testosterone is responsible for sexual and reproduction, hair & muscle, bone density, and feeling good. At 30 years old, testosterone levels drop but you can make lifestyle adjustments. Doctors are too quick to prescribe rather than suggesting these natural adjustments.
Natural Lifestyle Adjustments to Increase Testosterone
1. Lose weight
2. Too low body fat
3. Consume enough Vitamin D and Zinc
4. Reduce stress to reduce Cortisol
5. Get better sleep, both quantity and quality
6. Reduce consumption of alcohol
7. Pump iron!
Beautyrest® Sleeptracker® monitor goo.gl/sVKZVH
Want to build better sleep habits? Monitor, understand, and then fix your sleep using the Beautyrest® Sleeptracker® monitor. Simply place it beneath your pillow between your box-spring and mattress, and then the app tracks your sleep all night including respiration, heart rate, light / deep sleep, REM, body movement, and sleep interruptions. The report provided is insanely detailed -- Alpha shows his report as an example. Two other great features are the wake-up feature and the ability to sync with Amazon Echo.

Is this true?
@haydentrudgill
@haydentrudgill 6 жыл бұрын
@@stevenwylie6175 It sure is. It is also good for recovery. Cold showers 'squeeze' the blood vessels and flushes lactic acid out as well as promoting better blood flow for when the body heats up again.
@colewatt9269
@colewatt9269 6 жыл бұрын
@@haydentrudgill buddy this aint true. No such thing as 'squeezing' the blood vessels to flush the lactic acid. Blood vessles arent like pimples bro haha. And actually, cold showers restrict blood blow, not enhance it. Which is why you don't feel sore the next day after workouts etc... so if you cabt afford to be sore the next day, then cold showers are great. But eventually the soreness will happen, so if youre relaxing the next day, just take a warm shower to increasr blood flow and speed up the recovery process.
@haydentrudgill
@haydentrudgill 6 жыл бұрын
@@colewatt9269 Hi Cole. That's why I said squeezed in quotations. It was to suggest "in effect". For sure the blood flow restricts when it is cold. I was talking about when it heats back to body temperature once more it improves the flow. In a restarting your computer kind of way not in speed. That's good information you mentioned about recovery. I'll be sure to take that on board. Thanks.
@colewatt9269
@colewatt9269 6 жыл бұрын
@@haydentrudgill true, when it heats up, blood flow increases so the recovery is quicker. So the best way to recover fastest is to just do a light activity after the workout. Ex. Just a light bike ride will help flush the lactate perfectly.

As a physician I can honestly say that people (patients) are educated on lifestyle changes, however, most people are just too impatient or too lazy to put forth the effort to make the proper adjustments to their lifestyle/health.
@dukebluedevils6664
@dukebluedevils6664 5 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Swindle I understand that, but at the same time some physicians do a poor job of actually understanding the situation. I told my physician something was wrong with my body, he told me I just needed to lose weight. Completely ignored the fact I was still exercising, eating clean, and had gained 70 lbs. I was sent home and told to just lose weight but he agreed to a blood test after I had to beg for it! Turned out, as a 20 year old I had testosterone levels that were less than half that of the lowest possible normal value. So the whole time there was an issue and the whole time I had to beg and plead to get actual help! Turns out it had been prevalent since I was a kid but I just never noticed until I was out of high school. Some people aren’t “lazy”, a physician is just doing a shitty job putting themselves in the other persons shoes. Props to you if you do though.

While what you say is true, the testosterone raise for many of those is minimal and not enough for a guy with andropause, hence why doctors prescribe medicine. The exception to this is those cases where the low T doesn't come from andropause and age and it comes because of a more concrete cause like alcohol, in that case of course quitting the alcohol consumption will raise T.

Body weight training is very good exercise and will help a little. However, over time, body weight training becomes more of an aerobic exercise and creates cortisol in the body. Your body will reach an optimal weight and strength and not increase much from there. Calisthenics become a more endurance based exercise. Weightlifting forces your body to compensate to increasing resistance by boosting testosterone to fuel new, stronger muscle growth. I haven't got the scientific data but I did calisthenics for years before doing heavy weights. Went from a lean athlete to a brute over a few years. Never felt as masculine and strong as I do now.....even if my cardio suck now hahaha I'd say have both in your weekly routine personally

Dihydrotestosterone (aka DHT) is a derivative of testosterone (you might even say T is a prohormone to this one). It is about 50x more potent and has a strong affinity to hair follicles. The chances are if you have a lot of hair and look like you're lacking T... you're probably actually lacking the conversion of T into DHT. Strength training increases DHT levels, and so do sprints. Short bursts of high intensity physical stress that leave you winded. You'll notice guys that are just naturally more physically fit tend to have less body hair or have it far better located, while fatter people tend to be more prone to excessive hair growth. There are other hormones at work in the body, but a lack of DHT can possibly be a reason for excessive hair growth, since an excess promotes hair loss (namely if you have the genetic predisposition towards male pattern baldness on your mom's side of the family). Enhanced DHT levels (which can come from some creams that are actually used to combat estrogen and bitch-tits in bodybuilders because DHT is EXTREMELY anti-estrogenic) can speed up the hair loss process.

It's not just lifting weights. I read the study myself and it included high-intensity training like HIIT exercises, high-intensity calisthenics, and weight training. So, 'pumping iron' isn't necessary if that's not your thing. Any high-intensity training works.

I'd say the most powerful way to have youthful testosterone levels in middle and older age is intermittent fasting combined with sensible diet (little to no sugar or flour), HIIT once a week and heavy weights once a week (dead lifts and/or squats). Adequate sleep should be in the mix. Even alcohol doesn't seem to matter if you've got the other components happening. I'm 54 and just did a total T test - 894 mg/dL. This was a fasted measurement (other than coffee), probably 18 hours. I think I had done weights the day before.

I have low cortisol level and I suffer hypersomnia (If I'm allowed I'm able to sleep 14h daily and probably could more if I didn't stop myself). The key is not to have the level of something high and another thing level's low. The key is the balance between both. It's exaclty like they tell you that you need to stop eating sodium and suplement with potasium otherwise your blood presure will go through the roof. But sodium fuels your heart so they should rather tell you ok eat some sodium but remember to keep it in balance with potasium level. The same goes for testosteron and cortisol. The human body is a whole universe in micro scale. And any universe no. 1 rule is balance ;) PS alcohol = liquid estrogen especially beer with lots of hops

Cortisol is actually needed. It’s the hormone that wakes you up in the morning.. it’s when too much of it becomes bad, it begins to use protein as a energy source when too high due to immediate energy needed for high stress situations due to the outflown is adrenaline...ie.. stress.
@ambitionfootball
@ambitionfootball 5 жыл бұрын
Everyone makes that cortisol is the evil hormone when it’s not... it’s when cortisol lingers for a long period during wake hours where it becomes out of hand and as I said above begins to go through muscle & fat storage. Muscle tissue is an easier source of energy for cortisol than fat tissue

I would just like to say I have been using zinc for about 11 months every day I work out 5 days and almost 3 years of training I was at 110lb now I'm at 225lb 6'1. I notice a lot of muscle growth in the last few months just from taking zinc and eating the proper meals and the right amout of seep. The benefits it has behind it besides raising testosterone levels. Having good genetics also helps lol. Glad I was able come across you're video thanks man🤙

I'm a heavy drinker and have high testosterone because I consume lots of meat, get good sleep, have a good diet (other than the alcohol) consume pine pollen, tongkat ali, ashwagandha, nettle root and gingsing plus shilajit.... I feel like a weapon and also I exercise alot for my job and I do more on top of that in my own time. To have lest effect from alcohol either drink vodka or pure german beer.... but if your girlfriend is keen to get down tonight, red wine including Port (tawny) really gets ya going and believe me there!!
