Thank you for showing all the different types of bindings. I have been collecting my supplies to make a junk journal, and have watched a number of videos. Your video pointed out bindings I have not seen before. As a newbie, I liked the elastic binding - because I can add sheets into the signatures as I learn to make the pockets and ephemera for it. That and the 3 ring system seemed forgiving to someone who is putting one together for the first time.

I found myself constructing a traveller notebook as an improvised solution since I dont have sewing needle or wax thread. I opted to use elastic ribbon and im so glad you confirmed that this is accurate! Mine is also soft covered leather.
