@@Willowisp927 every character had a gimmick. But you could play around the gimmicks you could plan your match-ups and you could "surprise" your opponents with weird decks. The only class that was garbage was priest until naxx at least. I have been playing this game since beta, for the last year i play only bg because its just so not my thing any more how the game evolved, but we all had great fun the first HS years. You had control over the game, there was strategy not guessing.

@@graefus Late reply but priest was not garbage and is not garbage atm in classix. All decks are playable. Some are very nieche like murloc decks or worgen and some specific and loose vs half of the archetypes (ctrl paladin, either taunt up and tech vs miracle zoo or try to stand a chance vs handlock and ctrl). Classix control priest is never worse than tier 2, zetalot priest is decent too and so is inner fire. if ure talking about leper gnome face priest, yes in classc that was bad. zoo atm is super popular. its easily possible to hit top 10 legend with classic priest. for sure

Classic is so good man. There’s resource management, matchup spreads which justify multiple decks, and almost no rng bullshit compared to what we have nowadays. I’m running a home brew combo/anti-aggro warrior, and the resource management of both your own cards and playing around your opponent’s is so fun. Glad to be back to vanilla. Now this might go against the spirit of the format, but I’d just want Shaman, Paladin, and Priest to get buffed to viability. No nerfs, just have 9 viable classes. Don’t add any rng stuff or anything, honestly you can just carry over the card buffs the classes are getting for the core set

game seems pretty boring and dominated by small spikes of high variance RNG xD Atleast today the games are random clusterfucks where nothing matters at all. Back then you lost to soulfire discard roll, lightning storm 2-3 and arcane missile pings. You could play a whole game that plays out like a game of MTG with less RNG ( because HS smartly dropped the lands from MTG ) but then lose to a card that randomly pings your opponents face instead of your actual target. I prefer the more honest "everything is fcked, here is yogg giving you infinite fireballs on a 5%" against playing a fair game only to lose to bullshit
