Young man.. Sunday tomorrow Oct 20th I'm going hopefully to confession in the morning before mass.. I'm going to make a note to remember you in my reception of our blessed Lord and I'll shall include you in the offering up of my confession as well.. Both for your discernment..If I can offer you a bit of helpful advice I would tell you to ask our Most Holy Queen of Heaven, Mary the Immaculate One, to guide you to her divine Son JESUS and to help you with your vocation..I can assure you that Our Lady will help you quickly, efficiently, and perfectly to place you EXACTLY where he divine Son wants you to be..Remember all priests of all orders are under Our Blessed Mothers care.. Mary is so Holy.. Make her the desire of your heart and soul as you feel the same with the Holy Trinity... Peace and blessings to you friend

Remember that what God expects from one person is not exactly the same as He expects from another. You can reach these spiritual levels Saint Therese referred to, from the vocation you were called to. You can reach Sainthood, by making simple activities such as changing diapers, sweeping, cooking, etc., with profound love for God, which ultimately translates in love for others 😊by offering your best to God in any activity you do, you are also praying
@alainatempelis75163 ай бұрын
Dont worry :) God makes us holy through our vocation. Self sacrifice for our children and spouses and those at work helps us to grow and be sanctified- offering all those things up is also a good thing to do- remember its not just praying all the time that makes us holy its our choosing to serve and give charitably

Service is the greatest Gift of the Holy Spirit... Having children and caring for them is absolutely amazing. We live in a world where in UK alone 200,000 children are taken from their mothers womb by force (to put it mildly). Ask Our Heavenly Father for His Holy Spirit daily. Through Our Lord Jesus. To keep His fire burning in your heart. The love of a mother is precious. Not everyone experienced that... I pray your wonderful children beat fruit in your life. I've no doubt they will. Solid foundation in a faithful mother. Bless you

Thank you Father, for this beautiful explanation of St Teresa of Avila's Interior Castle, it is a challenge to understand let alone pursue the holy way, but nonetheless, something we can all strive towards. I just realized I am barely at Stage I, literally outside the castle, so still a very long way from perfection, but we can all try. May The Lord Bless you and Mother Mary Keep you safe always!

This video was mid-labeled. The priest was discussing St Teresa of Avila, and her masterpiece ‘The Interior Castle’ which details the seven stages (or seven interior castles) that one goes through before divine union with God. This particular video is labeled St Therese. St Therese of Lisieux, who is also a doctor of the church, wrote a different book, which I think is called ‘The Little Way’.
@denisemcmaster9732 ай бұрын
@@BetsysMama It's actually correctly labeled "Teresa," but it also says "Therese" as it's from a Mass held at St. Therese (Lisieux) Church in Alhambra, CA

Does the soul progress in the spiritual life in a linear way?
@StThereseChurch3 ай бұрын
Very good question / point! Your right it is not so linear as the presentation would seem to indicate, however, there is an ascending type projection of progress that helps put a map on the mystery.

I think it is best that no soul knows what stage they are in. I do not think their spiritual director, if they have one, should tell them what stage they are in. A spiritual director should gauge they spiritual progression inorder to be clear all is well and on the proper path. Let the Holy Spirit move and have it's being. Do not hender nor put under a microscope. It is developmental, relational and calling. It is union within salvation. The real problem is that priest do not know the movements of the Holy Spirit and do not gauge the soul at all. Tragic and very very isolating for a soul.
@StThereseChurch2 ай бұрын
It is true that we shouldn’t be too focused or fixated on where we are at in the spiritual development spectrum in order not to become egocentric about our spiritual growth, however, the masters of the spiritual life (viz, the saints, and other great representatives like Fr. Thomas Dubay) suggest that it is important to know where we are at so that we don’t stall further growth by putting our attention in the wrong place especially in regard to how we pray. Ultimately it is about what the Holy Spirit does to bring about the maturation and sanctification of the soul. But His Grace builds on nature, therefore the development of our self-knowledge in these areas is useful though not necessary. Also, as St John of the Cross emphasis your concluding point, poorly educated spiritual directors in these matters can often hinder the soul’s progress rather than strengthen it. And yes, good spiritual directors are an “endangered species”😉
