When the red Camaro takes off that audio cut is 100% Steve McQueen's Mustang from Bullit. I have it on DVD I'd recognize that exhaust Note and the double clutching anywhere.😎👍

They did the same thing in the movie The Seven-Ups 1973. And the movie McQ 1974 used the engine soundtrack from Vanishing Point 1971. To me it is just as bad as turning a starring car into a different car six times in one car chase.

You can also hear parts of it in the challenger in 2 fast 2 furious, it's very brief but they did use parts of it. Those sounds has been used so many times one could make a whole library of films and shows that used it.

That guy in the Cutlass looked only mildly inconvenienced that a bunch of drunk hooligans in a Camaro just blasted into him and took off. "Oh goodness, well I sure do hope they come back so we can exchange insurance information."

that's how they made B-picture car chases back in the day. Re-cycled engine notes from Bullit, a few Wilhelm screams out of the can, and plenty slow shots sped up.

The people who worked at GM at the time must have loved hearing their Chevy engine sound replaced with a Ford engine sound particularly the 390 GT from Bullitt. Yep those hardcore Chevy guys must be hating it😁

Dubbed over voices (English to Italian?) and car sounds. Anything with Don Stroud is sure to be entertaining. I don't get the winter gear with the top down though (camera work is easier in an open Corvette versus a closed top two seater. Death Weekend (released in the USA under the title The House by the Lake) is a 1976 Canadian horror/thriller film. It stars Brenda Vaccaro and Don Stroud and was one of the first films from Canadian director William Fruet. The low-budget production was shot in rural Canada and at a studio in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.
