I really love these old cars, and I hate it when they are destroyed in movies or anywhere, even though for many people they are worthless to me they are incredible, that old chevelle gave a lot of battle until the last moment, a warrior
@siliconecheese6977 күн бұрын
well also at the time they filmed this it was the equivalent to a 2012 ford fusion nowadays. a classic car now was a pos you could buy for $1000 some years ago
@sangueiliultra69067 күн бұрын
@@siliconecheese697 I think I've seen you before, but getting back to the subject I hadn't seen it that way, back then they weren't worth much because they were relatively "cheap" and common cars, That's a little sad considering the quality they had in all their parts.

In the 80’s you could buy about any muscle car for under $1,000 except maybe a Hemi Road Runner or Hemi Cuda, I had a 71 383 4 spd Cuda, 69 383 4 spd RR, Mach1 351C 4 spd and many others bought all under $1,000. I have a 68 Malibu now with a 600hp 454 that I started putting together in 2010 and over $35k putting it back together and financially Stupid but I love these old cars
@alertgasperКүн бұрын
all whoppin' 190 hp out of that 307. Back in the 1980's, a dude in my high school had one (and one gal was thrilled to point out it was a MALIBU not a chevelle :) ) and after painting rally stripes on it and slotted mags...it could do the one wheel-peel, too. That was enough for a high school kid.

@ correct about the LeMans. I was talking about the Chevelle. It was a 307 V8. Not my first choice for a Chevy small block but it did the job. The LeMans was a great looking car.

Greenpoint Brooklyn and then switches to Red Hook and Gowanus, finishing at the site of what is now Home Depot. All the old cars make it look like a movie shot ten years earlier. A Plymouth Fury cop car like the one shown would have been retired years before.

Right 👍 Our family raced from 1962 - 1984 and the 307 was nothing to brag about. Definitely better than the later 305's, 1977 from the Carter Administration to the latter 80's. I have never seen so many vacuum hoses, air pumps and complete garbage that actually made things worse from that era. I had a 74 Nova SS from CA that had emissions on the 350 in it including an air pump! Dumbest crap ever!

@gosportjamie8 жыл бұрын
+BRENDAJASON1 The 2+2 wasn't a high point in Z-car styling, with the result being that they depreciated rapidly in period and still aren't particularly desired today. I understand that they're still as nice to drive as any other Z though...

Ronny Jasper I agree with foxy fan. nothing pisses me off more than when somebody calls my car a firebird trans am. it's just a trans am. firebird is a base model. I mean here's a good example, how stupid would this phrase sound to you, hey you guys check out my new satellite roadrunner or my new lemans GTO, or my cutlass 442. just saying when ppl say camaro z28, firebird trans am, your naming 2 cars at once. I get that there are technically Malibu chevelles but why bother saying it. if you say Malibu, I know what kind of car your talking about it just indicates it's a base model. no need to tag chevelle on to the name.
