Those who hold passion and compassion for our animal brothers and sisters are in glory and grace…
@wordwise79032 жыл бұрын
That's a great quote Laura. But because this channel is so new, I have to create several more videos without my favorite quotes about empathy for our non human friends who suffer their entire lifetime in terror, pain and horror within the hellish confinement of slaughterhouses, often unable to move for up to 4 years, so humans can enjoy bacon or cheese for 3 minutes. I first have to establish a strong KZbin channel that includes nothing divisive, nothing political, noting to argue over between kind people vs. the "mmm bacon!" people.... otherwise my channel will never take off. But once the channel is very established, then I can begin to introduce meaningful words and thoughts about the unbearable pain and sadness that any sentient being can feel, whether their intelligence level understands calculus or not. But it's a very fine line. A KZbin channel really isn't the place to induce war between people of opposing levels of kindness, otherwise the channel will never survive. There are so many more effective ways to stop animal slaughter for profit, other than with a KZbin channel. But huge thanks for your kind spirit. We are both empathetic people, amidst a species of utter cruelty.

Thank you Kash!!! Your comment made my night. Such kinds words you shared. Have you spent much time in California? Do you know it well? Because each part of California is very different from other parts. We have filthy, high-crime areas, but also very clean safe beautiful small towns along the coast, plus the Sierra mountains for forests and skiing, plus big city life in SF or LA can be fun too. California isn't really "one place." Curious which part or parts of it you like.

All the videos on my KZbin playlist labeled Words of Wisdom, (including this one), have 3 benefits: 1. They provoke very good-natured thought. 2. They enable me to see myself much more clearly than I otherwise might. 3. They allow me to realize the mistakes I've made which are the most important never repeat.

I used to think Abraham Lincoln sat on the fence in terms of slavery which ever way the wind blew… glad to know that I was wrong and that he was in fact a man of character ethics and was actually on the fence where God lives….😊🎉✝️✝️✝️
@wordwise79032 жыл бұрын
Laura, I appreciate your comment more than you know. Those of us who read Lincoln's biographical books written by either himself, or himself with the help of a writer - we know the true spirit of Abraham Lincoln. People who argue that the civil war was not about slavery are not very well read, if they can read at all. Lincoln was also an animal rights activist, although, limited to dogs and cats because in his day, there existed no mass slaughterhouses in which the life of an animal bred to become food for humans was worse than their moment of death. Today's animals for food live lives worse than death. Had Lincoln lived in todays modern era of slaughterhouses, he would have certainly been a voice for those helpless beings who scream behind walls with no help on the way. Lincoln was a true person of empathy for beings of any species whose lives were tortured by those in power.

Lincoln certainly did not sit on the fence. he was in fact, a very shrewd politician who had very crafty and clever (political) enemies to deal with. there was strategy behind everything he said

How come only English-speaking people seem to have something meaningful to say? So partial. So narrow-viewed.
@wordwise7903 Жыл бұрын
You're right, it was wrong of me to say that in the description, I have deleted it. I should have explained better what I meant by it, which is that often, in any language, there are nuances that can only fully be felt by the native speakers of that language. Not always, sometimes a thought can be understood across all languages. But whatever your native tongue, you not only speak that language, you "feel" it, while people for whom it is a second language cannot "feel" it, the way that you do, they only know the words. I was born into English and Thai simultaneously, and thus can "feel" those languages. And though I studied Spanish and German in school, as secondary languages, I can only understand the words, but there are many colloquialisms in those languages which I cannot "feel" with the same depth that a native Spanish or German speaker can feel. Thus, I can sit at dinner with a group of Germans and understand the words, but not the true depth of a joke or colloquialism because my heart doesn't comprehend it as their hearts do. So a better explanation of my original point is that English is very deep to me, while other languages are very deep to the native speakers of those languages.
