Wow; as fond as I am of 80's commercials, I'm loving these volumes from the late 70's! 0:15--"Bonkers is fun, Bonkers is nice; Bonkers is never the same game twice." I remember that "patter" jingle very well. 1:57--The Juicy Fruit tree!!! That was one of my favorites when I was a kid. As catchy as the jingle is, it isn't quite how I thought I remembered it; then again, it was a long time ago and I was very young. 2:28--John Denver and the Muppets has become a Christmas classic. 3:38--"Real chocolate; not just flavored." After seeing that commercial, I got upset whenever my mother decided to be frugal and buy "chocolate flavored chips". 4:14--I love "Mork and Mindy"! Much to my chagrin, Antenna TV (which has been rerunning it) is no longer available over the air in my area after that station picked up the CW and began broadcasting it in HD, "stealing" the bandwidth that they used for other subchannels. Antenna TV's new spinoff, Rewind TV, is also carrying Mork and Mindy--and is also not available in my area at this time. :-( 4:20--My Superfection game that I got from Santa Claus in 1978 still works! I remember playing the original Perfection in school. 4:53--One of my favorite Pepsi-Cola jingles. 5:23--I never owned Merlin, but I wanted it after seeing this commercial. 5:53--I'm not familiar with "Angie", but "Happy Days" is another great show, currently rerunning on Me TV (which, mercifully, is still available in my area).

WABC 4:30 Movie sighting off the port bow! Awesome! Jerry Lewis was very popular on Channel 7, later in the mid 1980s they would show his movies on Sunday afternoons during the "Jerry Lewis Theater" umbrella!

McDonald's- If I saw Ronald McDonald with a Lantern visiting my house in the middle of the night like that as a child, I would've been scared, screaming like nobody's business. Clue- Interesting to see that the look of that Board Game has not changed very much at all over the years. Nestle Toll House Morsels- The boy painting the fence reminds me of the famous scene from Mark Twain's " Tom Sawyer".

7:50 I used to have that ROM action figure as a kid. I remember back then Marvel had the comic book rights to the character (not sure if they still do as I haven't seen him in any titles).

This is explained in the video description and in comments already posted below. ROM was created by Parker Brothers and licensed to Marvel. The character is now owned by Hasbro and appeared in comics published by IDW: idwhasbro.shoutwiki.com/wiki/ROM_(comic)

I actually have a copy of ROM #1 that I picked up a few years ago. Last I heard, Marvel sold the rights to IDW Comics and ROM is now part of their Universe.

Rom is not a Marvel created character, it's currently owned by Hasbro.

As I mentioned in the description...the character was created/owned by Parker Brothers and licensed to Marvel. Hasbro has owned Parker Brothers since 1991. Therefore Hasbro now owns the ROM character.

Given that Ronald McDonald lives in McDonald Land, where some of the people are literally sentient burgers and Chicken Nuggets, I don't know if him giving those Gift Certificates could be labeled as cannibalism or not. What I do know, Ronald's a cheap clown, giving 50 cent gifts out for food that's literally everywhere where he lives...
