4:13--"Savings and loans" and "FSLIC"--those are pretty much things of the past nowadays.

6:02--"Everything you've always wanted in a beer--and less." It's amazing how I remember that Miller Lite slogan so well even though I was 16 years to young to legally drink the stuff in 1976!

11 months old when this came out. Great flashback to how my parents would have watched TV then though! Also "amazing" that the Skoal commercial had zero warnings. Sign of the times.
@JL-sm6cg8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they didn't warn you you'd have to have half of your mouth removed surgically from your body, so you'd really suffer before you eventually died. At least smoking only gave you lung cancer, then you died shortly afterwards almost painless.

the seventies was and still is the best decade to ever have grown up in! no other time in history will ever compare and thats why a lot of people are in the closet about how important this time period was despite the drugs and other problems that got worse past the eighties, i still agree that the seventies is and was too important to forget and everyday i live it and i wear it and i watch it on t.v.. I grew up in that era and i still wear the clothes then , but im a petite enough to still do it

Thanks for posting, I recall the introduction to Monday Night Football distinctly, as well as the RCA colortrak ad, and the smokeless tobacco ad, even though many years have passed.

It's difficult to tell for sure but that looks like Rick Hurst ("Cletus Hogg") as the gas station attendant in the Exxon self serve commercial.

0:17, I thought it was going to be The Spam Celebrity Tic Tac toe invitational or maybe Tic Tac Toe with the stars LOL. At least there were no " Kardashians" to have to watch on each one of those specials (although we did have Bruce Jenner...back when he was ...well never mind!). Thanks for all of your Time and Effort in uploading these and giving us '70's children a taste of nostalgia.

The Exxon commercial has the guy from Dukes of Hazzard (Cletus?) The guy that played Boss Hogg's cousin or something as a deputy. Just noticed in the description, assume that is Dee Wallace, haven't checked IMDB yet. Boy are these a blast from the past, I remember a lot of these when they were actually airing.

At 6:38 The guy pumps his gas with the gas tank not facing the pump. They don't let you do that these days (probably a good idea). It's hard to believe they encouraged it in the Exxon commercial.
