70 Series Land Cruiser On Serious Cliffs! | FTX Tracker RC Crawler

I recently got a bit of time to check out a bit of coast path, and frankly this stretch is beautiful! It's steeper than it looks and a fantastic test for a scale crawler, though you really do need to be careful - at times this truck was just a few inches from a long drop into the sea! Kind of nerve wracking...
The more I drive the Tracker, the more impressed I am. It's one hell of a machine, and incredibly capable straight out of the box. It looks way better now it's got the (official) interior in it, too.

Another wonderful production, Steve, and what a backdrop! Awesome! I've been really impressed with it. The only weak spot I've found so far is the ESC... it's a good quality unit, but I'm not sure it's quite beefy enough to handle the load this truck can put on it.

Brilliant vid mate, I do like the look of the Tracker, for me its just too close in price to a TRX4 and I know that I’ve given mine a thrashing over the year and its nails. Is £100 saving actually a saving if it proved to be weaker? Its a shame its just not priced lower as it really looks the part. Anyhow that’s just my point of view and what do I know? Opinions are like A holes

I think that's a perfectly valid opinion, to be honest... it's a shame the price ended up so high. For the quality, spec and performance it's absolutely worth it, if you ask me, but I only know that because I've seen it first hand. Most people haven't and FTX's reputation is for decent cheap stuff, not premium trucks. If Traxxas (or even moreso) Axial were to put out even a basic chassis with a body this well made, everyone would wet themselves... let alone if the chassis was this nice too. It seems impressively tough so far, but yeah, time will tell, and it's a bit of a leap of faith for anyone to chose this over a TRX.

Another truly stunning video 👍. The more I see your videos of this rig in action the more I’m tempted to get one myself. I think personally it’s the price in comparison to a TRX4 for a FTX that puts many off 🤔 How did you get the interior? I’m sure I read somewhere that FTX were supplying FOC to all owners but I may be wrong ! Again well done for another amazing video, thoroughly enjoyed watching 👌

I've had a TRX4 Sport and the full-fat version, and honestly this is a very close, erm, homage to that design... so far it's both driven and crashed as well as those too. The plastics look and feel great quality, and the whole thing feels absolutely worth the money - it's just a shame it seems so much more expensive than the RGT version and is so close to a Traxxas, like you say. I think you're right that it puts a lot of people off. To be honest CML sent the interior to me, but I'll ask about that - I remember Tomley saying that existing owners would get them free. I'll update this reply when/if I find out! Edit: It seems if you buy new stock it'll come with interior in, and if you've already bought from a shop they'll be able to get one for you free. If you buy old stock online you'll have to rely on the site having good customer service though...
