I remember John and Jill getting married at St Matthews in Glenroy I believe! At the time our kids watched Countdown and loved him. So knowing they were going to head to the Airport to fly to their honeymoon location, the 3 of them sat at the corner of our street waiting to see him drive through Westmeadows - there were only two connections in those days. However it was in vain as we didn't see them!! It's a lovely memory regardless however! Love your music!

The gift was a t shirt with Johns portrait on it, it was from the artist and she said it was from John and family that they wanted him to have it . I believe it had a signed note with it . If its not true its a cruel thing to do ,because he was delited by both the shirt and more so the note . If she had just said she was the artist and wanted him to have it he would have still liked it and given her a shout out , no need for fraud .

I used to go to lots of Concerts- everyone from The Temtations, Cat Stevens as He was then, LED ZEPPLIN, Donna Summer in London... I saw Charlie Smiths blog it seemed real to me was it a scam . He was nearly in tears with happiness The story goes a so called artist friend of John Farnham contacted Charlie and told him that he or she? Mentioned to John to look at Charlie’s reactions . He was really impressed with them and to thank him he wrote a note and the artist friend and sent Charlie ahand drawn T shirt . If this is a scam to me is the most cruelest one I have seen. Charlie was overwhelmed it is disgusting and it should be stopped. Thanks Nick for pointing it out.

I don't want to sound 'schmalzy' but, the gift WAS from John. That is what he's like. It came from a friend of his, whom Charlie knows through his channel, on John's behalf. It was a tshirt that John's friend made for Charlie as John, who never watched himself on stage, had listened to Charlie while he was getting better. Sometimes he'd laugh or cry at the comments. It made him happy. John also sent a card and a CD with the Melbourne Symphony because Charlie was always wishing he had better sound and screen copies. Charlie can stand tall..

Aussie here. This probs was recorded when he was 70, he hasn't done anything for year's I don't think. As for JF & or related reaching out to anyone, let alone international NOW, I HIGHLY doubt it. His camp have been essentially radio silent since he's been sick (& even before, he was essentially retired in his quiet country w his horses for a while) To my knowledge he really hasn't done anything in 3 or 4 yrs) There has literally been 2 or 3 VERY short press releases on his health update from his sons since here. As much as I'm sure we'd love to think JF is actually aware or even knows about KZbin viral reactions about him, I wish but the likelihood is slim. His family have said his been overwhelmed by a website setup for fans to send him well wishes here in Australia but that's about it. He is STILL so noble he thinks fans would have forgotten about him by now. Far too noble to see how Australians & now new generations internationally think far otherwise. Perhaps Jimmy Barnes might be your only credible source, I assume he'd know more than anyone else would. I assume they're still lifelong mates. You've had their camp contact you.Try them. I'd ADORE it if JF REALLY did see all you guys reacting & it wasn't just troll fans trying to gain ATTN. It's a shame about the quality of this video. Doesn't do his voice justice if it's fan amateur recordings. BUT unfortunately there is only 2% of his career available live on here. I was just a little confused that you seem to be having a little difficulty telling the difference between when a performance was recorded and when it was uploaded. John Farnham doesn't use social media and has a very low on-line presence overall. A website was set up for fans to wish John well following his csncer diagnosis but this was better opreated by third parties on behalf which the far family. Further more, I doubt he has performed much at all since prior to the pandemic. Its doubtful he ever will again.
