Today we're working on this ridiculously expensive £7000 Louboutin collection! They all need some restoring so we're adding caselli mirror soles to get the signature red loub soles back to mint condition. I've also thrown in a few more POV shots for a bit of fun!

Hi Dan, it was great to see my wife's collection ( and mine ) being restored so beautifully, you should of heard her scream when you started with the belt sander, it was funny, i cant wait to see them on Saturday, to all the viewer's out there, this guy is so good, i drove nearly 2 hours to get them done, and it was purely because of his professional videos, Dan thankyou, they look so good

I can't believe I am watching a bloke repairing shoes - not exactly the first time either lol. Amazing attention to detail and it's brilliant seeing the work that goes into normal jobs - as well as the special ones like these (the "day in the life" video with normal day to day stuff was great too). Well done on taking a course to boost your knowledge - as an IT geek with over 30 years experience, I can say that you never stop learning :) I reckon you are right about the other vlog idea - might be too much for one person. clearly what you are doing now works well, so don't spread yourself any thinner :)

The guy has extremely steady hand. Trimming the edge of a shoe soul freehand and never scratching the shoe itself and then painting the edge freehand as well is not easy at all! Great job and interesting videos! Best wishes from the USA!

We have a Timpsons in my town. Whenever I walk past (which is quite often) I’ve only ever seen the guy with his feet up playing on his phone! I guess quality and attention to detail brings the work in Dan 👍

I have a local Timpson. I took one of my pair of louboutins to be repaired. He did an ok job, but not good enough to fool the _real_ Louboutin cobblers. “We didn’t fix these” was the spoiler. That’s why I’ve sent my loub boots to be attend to by Dan.

Avoiding burnout is a big deal these days, I had a bad one in 2015 and again in 2021. Also its so good to hear you're busy with lots of work and customers. Things are pretty bad here in Canada, and things like cobblers, restaurants, specialty shops, etc etc (small business's in general) are closing at an alarming rate. Because the price pays for the brand and its signature red paint. Louboutin just got the idea from seeing an assistant's red nail polish. He now sells that red nail polish for $50 a tiny bottle. I love Dan and his work, but heck, if anyone wanted an authentic repair, just buy a bottle of the nail polish and paint the sole yourself.

I like the extra step you wanted to take to toughen the surface up even more because it shows your work ethic HOWEVER I do agree that it’s unnecessary because it’s actually just taking lifespan off the soles by thinning in down even more when roughing the surface up. Great video btw!

Hi Dan I'm so glad I stumbled on this channel mate, I served my time as an apprentice cobbler ,lock smith and Pento graphing when I left school and I unfortunately left the trade 30 years ago, I have longed to get back onto it for so long but haven't had the opportunity to find a local cobbler that needs a hand as it sadly does feel like it's a dying trade with the throw away attitude society seems to have these days, it's great to see a fellow tradesman take the time and passion on a very high end of finish as yourself i also used to pride myself on such a high finish, and also tried to go that extra step (no Punn) when carrying out repairs, if you ever need a hand buddy I would willingly travel and work for you for free just to get that cobbler fix and remind myself of all them aromas of the glues and not so much the sweaty feet from the odd pair lol take care mate
