That thing is clean! I always thought building a keyboard like this would involve soldering or something but it looks relatively easy.

That’s right! Nowadays you can get hotswap keyboards that eliminate the need for soldering because the sockets have already been pre-soldered on for you. In the case of this particular keyboard however, it was a solder-only PCB but my skillful friend Boog did a mod called “mill-maxing” which essentially involves soldering small little pins into the slots that allows for hot-swapping switches.
