I’m 60. Just went from a 2011 Infiniti G37X to a brand spank’n new KIA Sportage X-Line, 2 days ago. I love the car, but I won’t lie, the touchscreen is a bit intimidating. However, I’ll do what it takes to learn it. Thus, why I’m watching this video.

I have to agree… after owning the car for 8 hours, it doesn’t feel slow under regular driving. I even picked up my mom from Newark Airport, and she loved the wolf gray X-line with the panoramic roof. Great review, spot on with everything.. and yes the Kia special sound system is amazing 😂

Yes, the climate control section is a little extra, but that’s coming from a 60 yo, who went from a 2011 Infiniti G37X to the 2025 Sportage X-Line. I’ve had the KIA for 2 days and it’s intimidating to me for sure. I think it’s a bit much because they have 2 major components battling for a fairly small space. Space that’s hard to see especially as one gets older. I’m beginning to wonder if I bought the wrong model. I looked at the Seltos SX, but I wasn’t as fond of it. 😬

Not having a smart cruise on lower trims is a smart move on KIA part. It's the only way to keep the price competitive. Not everyone needs or wants that feature. The trade-off is better technology, like a standard 12-inch infotainment screen. Even with that, it's still class competitive. You can't get a CRV or Rav4 under $30k anymore.

Don’t get suckered into this shortage like I did. Kia’s numbers are completely fictitious! I have the 2025 phev xline awd prestige. Kia claims 35mpg on highway and 36mpg in town that’s completely false I drive very conservatively and the highest I’ve seen is 27.8 mpg and I never drive over 75mph and where I like is mostly flat with a few little hills. I wish I could return this car!

Shame that in Europe we havn't N/A engines in it any more available. You can choose it only with 1.6L turbo, hybrid or 2.0 turbo diese. Great review as always. Greetingsl

I used to work in the auto business. Kia’s depreciate like crazy and the engines often fail. But my brother has an Optima with just over 200K miles, so it’s been good to him.

It looks really good in the exterior but not having wireless phone connectivity and a tremendous amount of gloss black in the interior is what I hate about it. I completely agree about the smart cruise since Honda gives that to you in their base model.

I have x pro way more features then x line . The x line is number 3 out of 7 trims. As for phone x pro connect to phone wirelessly also the music on my phone. Only thing it does not is Apple Maps, but it comes with navigation so don’t need it. And with the talk feature on steering wheel and just press it and say directions to what ever

Tbh mines junk it’s a 25 x line red on black. And the steering wheel is already crooked idk if it’s a manufacturer defect or what. It’s been to three shops for it even the dealer and it just can’t be fixed . Hoping there’s some kind of lemon law so I can get the car bought back off me and I can get a Honda or Toyota. Never again will I buy a Kia or Hyundai nothing but junk cars.
