Traded my '22 Elantra N Line manual for the new Kona N Line today! Will miss the 3rd pedal in my daily but all of the improvements this generation are so nice. Every car I have ever owned has a different brake feel. Once you are used to it, it is 100% fine.

The max torque comes up early at 1900 rpm so it will feel like "effortless" at 2000 rpm and above. However, below that, it feels weak/sluggish. I own one and I use the pedal shift often becaue it is fun!

Great review Kenny! I never looked too hard at the Kona and really like it both inside and out. I love the light bars front and rear and 190 hp is plenty for a small SUV. I hope that you are doing great!

Just traded in my 2022 Kona N for a 2024 Kona N-Line. While it’s nowhere near the Kona N in terms of performance, it’s a much more sedate, comfortable experience. The FWD-only Kona N ate it’s tires alive and it’s ride is punishing at best, but it is quite a step down in terms of thrills with the N-Line.

I really love my. Kona N Line , what I don’t like is the hard plastics on the interior,looks cheap , also the materials on the seats , they never look clean , they have a stain look about them , I paid to have protection on the interior and exterior also . Iam in Australia paid $53:000 for the car so the interior is a disappointment. However with all the safety features I just love this car , I don’t have a issue with the brakes as you mentioned, Would I buy this car again ,most definitely, I would however get leather seats .

Have a Kona N Line S Luxury Hybrid (UK). Love the car, but I agree with the Braking, its not the best. Even returned the car to the dealer at one point as I wasnt sure the brakes were working properly. They assured me that they were and its how they are set (they said its due to the Hybrid regerative braking system). After owning a Honda before, I can defo. say that the brakes are not as good as on the Honda though and you have to think about braking much earlier than I did with my Civic! Otherwise its a great car, with a ton of tech thrown in for the money compared to other car brands for the same money!

Disappointed brakes are lackluster. You expect it to stop and it doesn't. You really have to put your foot in it. I have no idea how you can fix that.
