@@ljmcgruder6085 so the difference is a blow off valve vents the intake charge and a waste gate vents the exhaust. Because this is a centrifugal supercharger it only has a blowoff valve. It doesn’t have a wastegate because a supercharger is belt driven. It doesn’t need a wastegate because the exhaust is not apart of the boost making process. Where as a turbo need both because it needs to vent the intake and exhaust. I’m sure David made a honest mistake. If you see this David keep up the good work. It happens to everybody.

@@SealTeamThicc Im 6'2 so I'd 100% test drive it before you pull the trigger. You may need to lower the seat all the way. If you plan on tracking it though you will need to find a bucket seat to be able to fit with a helmet on

I would go sit in one and test drive it, it all depends on your torso to leg ratio. I was really wanting a zl1 and went and sat in it and I can honestly say I couldn’t see a thing. Blind spot monitoring package is a must have for anyone over 6’2. I’m 6’9 so I’m used to shoving myself in cars for the sake of being a car enthusiast but the Camaro was by far a tighter fit than most. I ended up going with a wide body challenger for comfort sake and old school feel. If I would’ve fit I would’ve got the maro. Just my two cents, I wish you good luck on the car hunt 🤘🏻

The pro charger looks super fun. Seems like it would be difficult to use on the street though. My bone stock SS 1LE is already way too easy to get to unsafe speeds Would be really cool to see a head to head comparison with a moderately aggressive cam and bolt ons versus forced induction. Forced induction will definitely make more power, but I’m curious if it’s really any more fun

Because GM is dumb and barely released any new trims or options, and eventually have people review it. GM has never been good with marketing, Ford and Dodge release new versions of their older cars every few years which get reviewed quite often. I love the way the new Camaro's look. I see it more like Darth Vaders mask rather then a mustache, so I've honestly never hated the front-end. I just thought it was meh and then once I saw them in person, I was sold. I love my 2020 now, but honestly the 2019 looks cooler IMO. I just don't like the tiny slit for the upper grille since it is separated from the lower portion, but thankfully I got mine in black so you can't notice it near as much as you can on the other colors and it looks more uniform since it is all one color.

I got a 2019 2SS recently and I love it. It's even better that people didn't like it cuz now it's a one off year Camaro so for me? It's like a collector's thing. I'm all about being unique so the less people that have the same Camaro I have the better. And it only seems to be a nitpick to the actual Camaro owners. NO ONE I've shown my car too has said anything negative about the front end.

I have the same exact one (2019 SS 1LE w/same color and everything). Still one of the best decision ever made in my life!! Weights less than a Dodge Challenger/Charger, a manual TR6060 tranny that is much better than a mustang. Especially with the 1Le it handles like a true sport car (not sloppy and super tight steering and chassis. Btw…the whole “I can’t see out of it” is so overrated by KZbinrs. Yes, is hard to see compared to a “normal” vehicle, but is not like you can’t drive it either and if you can’t honestly you cannot drive. It also gets better overtime. Shoot my Honda S2000 was harder especially having to parallel park that sucker. My 2 cents…

The challenger feels like that to me, like when you get in and fully seat in the bucket (stock seat) and paired with Dodges famously small windows made me feel like I was in jail and couldn’t see shit! Biturbo and it will be as good as V8 with charger ... Wanna go faster to go for triple turbo ... or even 4 turbos... very good example of how to setup is BMW 50D engine which is straight six 3.0 liter diesel with 4 turbos :) V8 with charger will be blown away ... :)

A lot of people talk bad about the visibility as if any coupe has good visibility. Bad is the A90 Supra. If that is a 1LE add it to the title. There is a difference between the regular SS and the 1LE (I’ve owned both). ELSD, short shifter, more radiators than a veyron, larger brakes, different traction control settings. One of my biggest regrets is selling my 1LE especially since they went up in price since then lol

Before buying my 5th Gen SS, I test drove a 6th gen. I like the car but it was really small inside. Much smaller than the 5th gen. As for visibility, it’s on par with every other generation of camaro, and I’ve owned all of them.

I just recently bought a one owner, 2ss, with 6700 miles, I'm the 2nd owner. I couldn't be happier. The circuit board car is awesome. I don't care for the huge cowl hood, but otherwise it's cool!

Mahaa, BOV's on centrifugal SC's just don't produce the same expected sound effects as you would expect from a Turbo setup, but it's because of the almost liner rise in boost by rpm... Never the less, it's function over form... Could only imagine an intercooled Whipple on that thing.

you get used to it. especially with the 2ss package that has all the sensors. the handling a lighter weight sold me on the camaro

@@daytonraught629 right, you get used to the visibility in a couple days. At first it just feels like as if you had your visors down on a regular car. It only really blocks off part of the sky. The SS is still the best overall sports car between the GT and Scat if you care about more than just top end straight line speed

I was ready to hate on it but then I saw it was stick and honestly not as obnoxiously loud as I expected so I kinda like it. I would remove every inch of extra wrap, panel and rivets from it though but if it makes the owner happy than whatev.

Gen 6 before the style refresh is best version. 2016-2018. The Camaro welcomed me like a nice cold beer. Idk why ppl bitch about the visability tbh. The car is perfect.

Always was a Camaro guy but I definitely don't like the claustrophobic feeling of the interior and thoughts of an accident and being stuck inside one was what flashed in my head the very first time I ever sat in one..I dont know how they managed to make it feel so damn cramped despite it actually being kind of a big car..Definitely could go without the tire/fender gap in the front but to each their own..im sure it's a blast to drive.

I dig it. Reminds me of the Z28 I made in NFS Payback. Infact the paint scheme is almost Identical. Lime green with black and gray rip vynals. Maybe I should do this on my next project.

You NEED to get your hands on a 2015 z28 to review. The zl1 is not the highest Camaro from that previous generation, thats a common misconception.. The last z28 was an absolute beast. It blows my mind that gm "fans" think that car is just a bodykit.

Gone back and forth on whether I should go Cam, Centrifugal, roots or stay stock on my SS 1LE. I've definitely been leaning towards the Procharger because I am more track than strip, but the car is freaking potent as hell in the stock SS form... I don't know if it's a big waste of money because I have rarely been able to use the full power now, do I really need more power? Probably not.... Do I want it anyway? HELL YEAH MAN!!

Came from a Veloster N to the SS. I bought my Veloster new in April of 2019. Kept it for Three and a half years, totally satisfied with the car but my goal was V8 RWD track weapon that would be fun on the street as well. After literally shopping for two years and looking through a myriad of sports cars, including 4 & 6 cylinder RWD I kept returning to the 6th Gen Camaro. This was without considering price to a degree. I couldn't afford something close to $80k and up, but I basically looked at everything I could find from world wide manufacturing. I got so deep into my search that I wound up making charts listing positive and negative attributes of the vehicles and scaled the points on importance. In other words, some things were more important than others. Like "poor visibility" was not a huge aspect compared to torque and such. Anyway I don't always comment, but I've heard that poor visibility thing so many times that I feel compelled to say how I feel about it. I also wanted to preface it with how extensive my search was also, so you understand that I didn't just haphazardly choose the car I have because of price, availability, looks etc. So... The Veloster N was my second choice in 2019 when I decided that I was not going to be screwed on dealer markup surrounding the Civic type R. I wanted a quick, light, well balanced commuter car that I could also take to the track on occasion. I was looking for FWD at the time because I knew I could get a car in FWD that fit my look. I actually got really lucky when I got the Veloster N, as it turned out to be a much better car than I expected, and it saved me $15k in purchase. In fact, if I did it all over again, I would actually choose the Veloster N over the CTR based on my experience with both vehicles since that time. Nothing wrong with the CTR, but it can be a bit overvalued by people who have fanboi attitudes, so the hype train is heavy. Plus the Veloster N, although not as well built and highly designed can go toe to toe with the CTR anywhere except the Drag. The Veloster N had amazingly good visibility being a hatchback and I never heard of anyone complaining about that aspect. Of course when I started shopping the Camaro I did notice that it's windshield and cockpit area was smaller and more limited than the Veloster N. I tried however not to focus on that and looked at all the other qualities of the Camaro instead. By the time I was ready to purchase my current vehicle, I had no doubt about it. The Camaro is one of the best sports cars in existence at any cost. I actually got to the point where I was deciding between the ZL1 1LE, and the SS 1LE. I wanted the extra power of the ZL1, but after great deliberation I chose the SS. The SS had everything on my list and although it had less power, I saved about $20k getting it over the ZL1. So who cares right. Wrong, I'm 55, and been sport driving motorcycles and cars since I was 16, I'm not a race driver or Master mechanic but I have a crap load of practical experience, and I have first hand knowledge of many many cars. The visibility issue is a non issue. I don't notice anything at all in day to day driving. The blind area is pretty big but it is not an issue. I'm not jumping in and out of traffic in this one. I'm leaving them All behind or approaching from the rear. I have had this car as my daily driver for over six months now and my research was spot on. I'm saying All this in hopes that if you hesitate for one second on this car because of visibility you are making a mistake. Anyway I'm obviously rambling and the video is over now, but I felt compelled to say All that. Is the Camaro the be All end all? I don't think so, but it's IMO the best sports car RWD V8 platform available to a price point we have available. It's a hell of a great deal and one hell of a car. Take care from an Old muscle head.
