WOW ...... I mean ...... WOW! That was amazing, I honestly thought that at 70mph the video would be unwatchable but it was fine in the event. Imagine having one of these as a chase boat to a larger yacht there would be no place you couldn't go and go there fast. It is great to see you both working together, I personally think having Marriane onboard (your channel) only makes a great community better.

Prefect day until you hit chop then it's a lymphatic massage- 4 trips on an invincible to Cay Sal, I was well drained, loved the fishing and docking. I can't help to think that one day using that much fuel isn't going to be blow back on the marine pleasure industry. As a boat owner twin cummins 490 jet drives, I try to keep the burn down to 24 gallons total per hr. Compared to (4) 450hp racing merc's who wants the do good world coming after you.

Ha! Miami is becoming the spiritual home of Aquaholic...or maybe it always was? Florida is a place I'd love to visit....Key West especially. The sea to the West of the Keys is only 2 metres deep for miles and miles and miles....this is an amazing place. It doesn't take a genius to see that Southern Florida which is essentially built on sandbars will be inundated by rising seas within one generation...so enjoy that place whilst you can! I am very envious Nick...I wish I was there. Great to see you both having such fun.

LMAO It's pretty easy to look at pictures of the Statue of Liberty and see that the water level isn't going up. For the last 70+ years crazy people have been saying the polar caps are going to melt, or acid rain will kill us all, or we're going into an ice age again again, or global warming, or holes in the ozone layer or...lol The fact is, there's more ice in Antarctica now than there was 20 years ago, and the water levels are right where they were 100 years ago. They had to take down the signs in Alaska because the glaciers didn't melt. Relax; the world isn't going to end in 10 years.

Company I work had sea trial last week with their own 12m open alu/rubber rib with two Mercury Verado V12 600's. They got 55 nots before they run out propellers. Imagine that speed when water is bit over zero and air is something like +6-10 celsius. And best is, it got in 10secs to max speed from standstill.

Nick, looks like you and Marianne had a blast on that. The thing is now in the US not only are we bringing back muscle cars but we have muscle boats that will get you there real fast. Some of the other channels that I watch based out of the Miami area have 45 to 55 ft boats that will do 70 mph to 90 mph. Most of those boats usually have 4 or 5 600 horsepower Mercury Verado engines on them. Fishing is huge on the west coast and East Coast of Florida. Also Bahama runs out to the Florida Gulf stream. I've watched reviews on some of those boats and they could go anywhere from 1.5 million to 3 million dollars to start.

These center consoles are becoming more and more of "boating boats" and the one that he was on is a good example of it. They're like the SUV of the seas, originally designed to do one thing, but they're not really used for that original purpose anymore.

Watching in Florida at the Overhaul inlet you see a lot of 42, 48 foot mid consoles with even quint are sext engine equiped boats and now the 500 hp 12 cilinder Mercury's. I can imagine Americans complain about expensive benzine 😂

Well if you look on the console in the video you'll see them doing about 0.4 miles per gallon at 70! So yeah, stacks of Benjamins straight into the oggin.

They seem to be most popular in the US and when fully equipped they're only affordable by the rich people that will rarely ever use them as the fishing boats they started out as. If only 🙂 With what looked to be a fairly shallow draught and a narrow CAT hull……… I wonder if it retains a lot of grip in a fast turn over a bit of chop ?
