You speak the truth! I grew up in Minneapolis, we had all the real international stars. Not little midget wrestlers like these two. But our tv audience was so bored, they would not even react to real stars like Bockwinkle, Ray Stevens, Heenan, Crusher, Billy Graham. Culture was just a little more real in a Tennessee studio audience.

The business wouldn't lose any fans but would regain a lot more if they went back to making things seem as real as this seemed. Now it is just a bunch of stunt men and acrobats in the ring.

this seems way more fake than today. Look at this 5 foot 5 runt. Really?

Gotta admit...dundee was a phenomenal heel....promos were legit
@billrickles77163 жыл бұрын
dundee did not like ric flair and refused to work with him. om three times dundee dropped the southern belt to avoid facing flair. to bad because it would of been one hell of a match

He was over in WWF. He teamed with Hogan more than any other wrestler in the 80’s. Was on all the merchandise even cartoons.

I always thought Koko B. Ware was a highly underrated and underappreciated wrestler. He could really do the piledriver! So glad that he and Dundee locked it up! And it's not Memphis wrasslin' without Eddie Marlin boy!

Eddie Marlin doing a fast count on Bill Dundee was just as bad as any cheating that Bill Dundee tried to do in this match. Period!!!

There was a lot going on with this angle. It was self preservation on Dundee's part. He was the top heel in the company and the fans would have cheered him which would have hurt him in the territory. Not to mention that by NOT losing to Ric Flair Dundee keeps all of his heat as the top heel. Also, Memphis is predominately black, so seeing Koko just get a shot shot at the NWA World's title automatically made him. In this case.......Everybody wins!!!!

Always liked Phil Hickerson ... felt he was underrated and overlooked! Too much emphasis placed on Lawler and his pint-sized, Siamese twin, Dundee!

Bill Dundee was a great babyface, but he was a better duslikable heel. He was so good at it , he made Lawler look more simpathetic whenever he would become one.

Koko Ware was really good in the smaller scene. When in the WWE Koko B Ware he was jobber. He was talented, but instead took the money to be a glorified jobber.
