January is the month I decorate with snowmen. Always looking for another one to add to my collection. Hint, hint. LOL I am so taken back by how much you are able to stuff in your days. I have watched you for some time now and I would love to half of you energy. I know you have your slow days but books, knitting, crochet and work so much more in your day. I am retired and I can't get it all done. Maybe this year will be the year I work on organising my day better. Keep up the good work.

HI Ali! Your hat is lovely! I like both low contrast and high contrast colorwork - it just depends on the mood I’m in. The fact that you knit the hat and were able to fit it on your head is wonderful! The floats on a lot of my early colorwork were too tight and so once done, I couldn’t fit it on my head, foot, etc. I, too, found that the heel on the Lola sock is a bit too baggy and I think it might be the five rounds between the “heel” and the “gusset decreases” which add a bit of extra fabric. Thank you, as always, for a lovely podcast.

I love the new "Wonderful" pins! The epoxy version is my fave so once you have those I shall have to place another order ;) I get a lot of comments about my 'strictly' badges and my 'oops' LDW pins too. I adore the mittens you made and hope to try perhaps a simple 2 colour colourwork hat this year. I do love the idea of the fabric scrap swap and must see if I can arrange one for this year here with some sewing peeps in Oz. Between knitting, crochet and much sewing (lol) over Christmas and New Year, I've been kept quite active! Thanks to you teaching me how to do zipper and drawstring bags, I have made dozens of them now and also some snap bags (all project bags). I even made some for 3 of my little grand-daughters as "Day Bags" that they can put all their treasures in when they go on outings. I'm getting better at making them, still a bit wonky here and there, but practise makes perfect right? lol... nah... they will always be a bit wonky in places, just like me ;) I have a few...haha... socks on the go (last year's crafty goal) and really need to knuckle down and make the 2nd sock of several lol... once I do that I will very quickly have several actual pairs of socks to wear for next Winter! I've also got knitted hat patterns lined up to make for the family for Winter which is another learning curve. Thank goodness we have crafty pursuits in these worrying times hey? Thank you so much for all you do and share, I'm sure I'm not the only one that watches it all and thorough enjoys your vlogs and podcasts... much inspiration to be had for sure. Say hi to Dan and the girls from Downunder, sending huggles across the pond xx
