The car that was wrecked wasn't a formula. The single exhaust you could plainly see @ 3:47 was a dead giveaway.

I believe it's an esprit from the seat pattern and the fender vents under the trans am side scoops. there is also some chrome fenderwell trim visible in a couple shots. everything else is add on. car worth about 30k today as it appears in this show.

Thats the problem with classic shows. We didn't cry over the cars then, but we do now. How many today say "dont wreck that 2015 Mustang....its going to be worth a lot 40 years from now!

These cars were not that old at the time. That Formula could not even have been 10 years old yet. It looked like it was in great shape before they ruined it!

no they are all pretty much accounted for. Jay Leno has an episode with the guy that restored the sound car. It was wired for mics all over the place.

No, the Rockford cars were 74-78 models. This one predates those years. However, the color is very similar.

Ponch's Camaro came from Corvette Summer. They had 3 Camaro's left over from filming Corvette Summer & all 3 went to CHiPs.

@@289Mustang67 That's right the Rockford cars had square headlights the CHiPs ones had round headlights. I couldn't tell anyone the years I'm not into GM products. The color of the Rockford ones wasn't a Pontiac color. nice catch by the way.
