I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.

I am SO PROUD to be a 62 year old Canadian who watched this brilliant show every week and still find it hilarious. HAVE NO IDEA how they came up with this inspired and spot on nuttiness. Blows SNL to smithereens.

we have this dumb CRTC behind everything here so Canada content is pushed at us... most of it is terrible but SCTV is one of the few really great products. I grew up on them too. My complaints the CRTC I guess now is that they don't show SCTV. Why isn't it on Netflix or all the other services? It has John Candy and Joe Flaherty, etc... This is classic comedy and we hide it and can only find bad recordings of it on KZbin. We have all these really boring Canada movies taking over streaming movies that could've been good american movies from the past... I wouldn't mind as much if they showed the SCTV episodes.

I have no cable and only watch dvds when I'm home(I'm at a library). A good movie or show is whatever I like. I came to like CORNER GAS and always liked SIX FEET UNDER. Just the same,I would NEVER subject ANYONE to THE WAYNE AND SHUSTER COMEDY HOUR. YIKES!!! Saw reruns about 20 years ago and remembered how young and dumb I was when this dreck was new. Reacted the same way to reruns of HOGAN'S HEROES. UGH!!! lol Anyway,it does suck that you can't get SCTV. Yup. I'm with you there.

SCTV was my favorite show in my early teens in the early 80s. Sometimes I even managed to stay awake to watch it, after Johnny Carson, on channel 11 in Pittsburgh. I think I was hitting my last growth spurt, and junior high was rough, so, on a lot of those Friday nights, I fell asleep during either the 11 o'clock news or Carson, and woke up to SCTV's end credits. 😂

Friday nights ìn Nova Scotia during '82 I was able to watch SCTV at 11 to midnight on Cbc, Then again Nbc had sctv from 12:30 to 2am , at 10 yrs age it was challenging staying up!!!

I was able to see it in its first run in Cleveland before it was syndicated in the US. At least, I was able to see some of it, whenever the rooftop antenna was pointed the right way and the weather was just right.

I love SCTV. Living in Toronto there are so many references to programming at the time. Mel’s Rock Pile had a dorky host, so did Boogie. That is only one.

Candy's Stephen Sealy character was hilarious! The Queen Haters sketch is an all-time classic! Ironically Mel being the only one getting into them was an accurate reflection of the time - when punk first came around nobody was into it or took it seriously except for a very few on the fringes.
