Instagram: instagram.com/mihaela_claudia_p/ Hello everyone :)! In this video, I share with you the reasons behind my understanding of a language I have never studied. I always loved languages and didn't realize what a precious asset I have on my possession, and that's because I took my being a polyglot for granted as I started to understand foreign languages at a young age. I will make other videos about languages, this was more of an intro, as I have many things to share regarding this beautiful topic. I will also work on my languages and learn new ones as we go along. Thank you for watching!

Wow this cross-linguistic influence and multilingualism concept is fascinating. It makes perfect sense. I have found that listening, reading, and understanding a similar foreign language is easier than speaking it verbally. I didn't know Romanian language was so similar with the other Latin based languages. It's so rewarding to travel and speak other languages, I sense this is one of the reasons you enjoy traveling a lot and love to study different languages. These are great tips and motivate me to learn more languages and travel more! 😻😻👍👍

my brother studied hispanic philology and had to learn a lot of greek and latin, which in theory are the mother tongues of the romance language. i have always thought that i wished i had been born in eastern european countries to have a double native language, i also think it is very enriching to know languages, so essential to move around the planet. I can tell that you have dedicated half your life to learn and perfect some languages, your English has an excellent pronunciation. As of today you have become my favorite female dater and Agent of course, It's nice to know what your training has led you to and that you found love in Italy . See you soon dear ! 🩷🕊🔝

Love in Italy it's more love for Italy :) I found love but then I lost it as sometimes happens, maybe one day I will find it again. See you soon my dear! Where exactly do you live, which city?

It is so good that you were introduced to different languages at a very young age. That is one thing we do not do in the US. We don't even offer a foreign language in school until high school here. I feel like by the time a person is in their late teens, it is too hard to learn a new language well. I am always so impressed with people who are able to speak multiple languages, even if it is just 2. I took Spanish in High school and didn't learn much of the language, but when I went to Italy, I recognized a lot of words because of their similarity. I have also heard that learning a new language can help diminish your chances of getting dementia or Alzheimer's. This was a very interesting video, watched and liked, thanks for sharing!
@MihaelaClaudiaPuscas7 ай бұрын
yes, diminishes your chances of getting dementia or alzhaimer's because you use your brain on a regular basis and it remains young and active. By doing always new things you lower your chances of having those types of illnesses. Great to have you here Alex, always a pleasure to interact with you!

Good evening Mihaela! As a former English teacher in the Netherlands, I can absolutely confirm it helps to start at an early age when learning several languages, as the brain is like a sponge at that stage. An excellent informative video. You are a multi talented person. Knowing multiple languages is one of the greatest skills a person can possess. I know four languages (English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu) myself, but would love to learn more. When I was a kid, it was easier to learn a new language. Nowadays, it is very difficult to learn or remember a new one. I tried to learn Spanish, but gave up after learning the basics. Just can’t concentrate like before. You are right, many Spanish words are very similar to English. That is the reason, I tried to learn Spanish at the first place. Wow! Did not know English is 29% Latin! Question is how similar are Italian and Spanish languages?…….

Your an amazing woman. Knowing multiple languages is so important especially when traveling this world. My fist language is Portuguese and when we immigrated to the USA I didn’t speak or write a word of English. Fortunately I was young and learned English quickly and Spanish was very easy. I would love to travel to more European countries. I’m watching your video from Fátima Portugal 🇵🇹 and if you ever want to meet up I can help you with your Portuguese 😊

Wow, new podcast type set up. Outside the US, everyone speaks multiple languages. Many Filipino kids can understand but can’t speak. When I moved to Nigeria I couldn’t understand my teacher who spoke English and Ibo. It’s learned how to speak English by watching Sesame Street and Charlie’s Angel. Congrats on all your hard work from languages to being a counselor. Loved the throwback clips. Best way to learn is living in the area where the language is spoken. Really cool to learn how the brain adopts.

:) Grazie e tanti baci!

I love Spanish, for me was easy of course because it's a Latin language and I speak a Latin language as my native. Thank you for being here, much appreciated!

Quite an interesting video...I simply do not do "foreign" languages easily.I know you worked very hard to acquire your skills. You are also blessed

Some people "have a gift" for languages, some don't, but I think it's crucial to start learning languages at a young age. 🙂🙂I speak three fluently, although I know the basics of at least five others. 🙂Also, some languages are much easier to learn than others.

Absolutely agree. I will try learning German soon and see how that goes! Love languages very much! Thank you for the visit!
