I’m almost 77 years old and I can tell you, it is not genetics! There were no obese or even heavy set children in my schools, kindergarten through 12th grade. I graduated from high school in 1965, with 565 kids in my class. My sister and I can only think of one girl who was chubby in her class. I don’t remember seeing adults, teenagers, or children who were seriously overweight like you do today. Perhaps there was a person here or there and the explanation was that they had glandular problems but it was rare. If genetics plays any role, it may be because some people are more susceptible to insulin resistance triggered by sugar and carbs and/or more poisoned by over processed junk food than other people. But it is still the synthetic “food” that is the underlying problem. Thanks for this interview!
