I`m a normal Chilean person with no German roots or anything, but I have always been interested in German culture, I admire all the good they have done in Chile. The first Germans worked the land very hard, they created villages, brought their culture and architecture, created new things to survive using their intelligence, I imagine they also suffered living so far away from their family in Europe. I like this kind of people, I am very proud of them...I would like to know more about their culture and someday visit the beautiful land of Germany.

Best emigration Chile had, Germans tend to be industrious, well organised and obviously intelligent people unlike Spaniards or Italians, evidence look at Argentina period.

En Chile tenemos una anomalía respecto al resto de Sudaméricanos, los alemanes son nuestra mayor colectividad no-hispana, en la mayoría de los países son los italianos, los cuales en Chile casi no figuran, salvo por una ciudad en el centro sur llamada Capitán Pastene. Sin contar la reciente inmigración latinoamericana el orden sería: 1) Españoles 2) Mapuches (autóctonos) 3) Alemanes, austriacos y suizos 4) Árabes (palestinos y en mucha menor medida sirios, libaneses y egipcios) 5) Británicos (casi todos ingleses) 6) Franceses 7) Croatas 8) Italianos 9) Portugueses 10) Andinos (autóctonos) 11) Neerlandeses 12) Griegos 13) Irlandeses 14) Chinos 15) Armenios

The southern part of Chile is huuuge and is mostly inhabited. But I prefer it that way because we have so many wonders of nature, National Parks and reserves. If you go to Chile visit the south, it's a paradise kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6PUhaKaj7GUe5o

esos son alemanes recién llegados, los alemanes a chile empezaron a llegar a mediados de siglo XIX, ya que era el unico estados latinoamericano consolidado en la época, los demas estaba aun en formación llenos de pugnas internas
