Thanks for your honesty. In my opinion, the main reason you didn't get positive results wasn't so much about the ad or the keywords, but more about the audience you went after. You targeted job seekers and tried to sell them a product. The thing is, these folks don't have much to spend since they're looking for jobs in the first place. So, it's a bit tricky to get them to buy. Still, nowadays it's hard to find people like you that show the negative side of affiliate marketing and how it's not a get rich quick type of business model. So, thanks again :)

What did you expect to happen with such little spend? The fact you made any money is a great sign. Once you optimize some more you can get profitable and recoup your testing losses. It's a cash flow business, take the cash you make and put it into income generating assets like real estate or index funds. An email is not automatically an asset especially in affiliate marketing since a lot of esps are starting to penalize emails with affiliate links so you have to be savvy in order to monetize you list.

Great video, Google ads are just like any other platform test-test-test if this campaign ran for 7 days it would have yielded better results, it's also important to test different competitor keywords in the same niche in separate campaigns.

What about doing the same thing as you did simply instead of directing the customer directly to the page and putting them in an intermediate page that way you can both collect data and keep them in your list?
