As someone who has played Sea of thieves for a long time (well over a thousand hours) best advice ever is find a someone else to play the game with you. Trust me it multiplies the amount of fun that you can have well playing the game.

True. However, I advise new players to take some time to solo sloop because you learn to manage the ship yourself and it makes you a better crew mate when you learn how to manage your ship and keep it alive.

This is a great series of videos as someone who plays this game allot I enjoy how your willing to take risks and not get mad at people when they sink you. The amount of people who play this game with more hours then you that constantly run and get mad at people for sinking them instead of attempting to improve is how allot of people approach this game and its always great to see a new player be willing to actually try new things and take chances even if they lose

Your biggest mistake in the search for a ritual skull was that you weren't landing any meaningful holes into the galleons. Holes in the 2nd deck only start filling with water when the entire bottom deck is filled with water. That being said, you want to hit galleons on their bottoms to make sure that the holes are actually filling the ship with water. Tl;dr, aim low, not high. Another good tip. The Chest of Rage, that explodes into fire? It's very easy to deal with. You had the right idea about putting it on the bow, but you don't actually need to extinguish the chest itself. Just let it explode, and put out the fire that is exclusively located on the bow. Pretty easy. The last good tip I'll impart for you. Since you are the captain of your own ship, you don't need to sell all your loot to each individual trading company. You can take it to the funny looking tower at each outpost, and sell it all to the Sovereign, who will sell it on your behalf at no cost. They have a harpoon on top of their tent, letting you easily unload all your loot.

@MinnowMain One more thing. The fort you had completed at the foggy island? That's the manually triggered world event, the Fort of The Damned. In order to start it, you not only need a ritual skull, but the 6 flames of fate. It seems that someone had previously left the lanterns ignited before leaving. To get these flames, you have to die in various ways. Green is from skeletons or phantoms. Blue from sharks. Purple from snakes. White from lightning. Red from fire. And lastly, pink from players. Or you can buy a skull of destiny for a big chunk of doubloons. Not only does it give you all 6 flames, but it acts as a ritual skull itself. And if you have multiple skulls of destiny, one of them can be placed on the floor, and if it is the correct color, it will act like a raised lantern, making all the skeletons vulnerable.
