I've been searching for a simple bed assembly for my 2015 Subaru Outback. With the Outback there is a 60/40 back seat fold down which will allow a 32" inch wide bed vs your "24 in wide. This project of yours is preferable to any I've found in that it can fold up and store much easier. Thanks. Wish me luck

Oh hey, now this is great dear. I like the way you made your platform, and the easy to store it out of the way.

Still helpful in 2023 :-)

Thanks! You should check out Ep. 24. I show how to make an 88” folding platform.

@@creationsbycarson Yeah you rock! I copied your setup (the one where you fold the front seat back) and it changed my whole winter - ended up sleeping in my car 10+ times and snowboarding a ton.

No glue from carpet on wood?
@creationsbycarson2 жыл бұрын
When I use carpet, I just screw it on without glue.

@@zumezoom9593 I stretch it tight and then secure with screws. However, I am shifting away from carpet and going with stained/polyethylene coated finishes now.

@@creationsbycarson sorta like raptor liner then...? Or not really..
@creationsbycarson2 жыл бұрын
@@zumezoom9593 I had to look Raptor Liner up, it looks pretty cool. I was referring to the finish I used in Ep. 21 with the Cantilever sleeping platform. The polyethylene is painted on and gives the wood a glossy hard shell finish like adding a layer of resign to the surface. It’s smooth to the touch.
