That is a good point. However, my feet actually extend past the pedals. I guess I could depress the pedals while sleeping perhaps. I use the platforms mainly and this video was just intended to illustrate how much room the Subaru Crosstrek really has. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@saramae9878 they do illuminate with the car off because if you lost power in traffic no one would be able to tell you stopped.

I’ll be honest I’ve slept in the driver seat of my truck for a few months and I just slept with my shoes on honestly if it’s cold I’ll wrap them up but if it rained or snowed I try to take them off outside like sitting in the seat taking them off but that was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept in and I’ve slept in a vehicle for a full year I’m in a house now luckily trying to get better but either sleep in the passenger seat or in the back I know what your thinking if something happens and you need to go quick don’t put pillows behind the pedals or in front of them if your cold get some foot warmers and put them in your shoes or socks other then that get as comfortable as you want

Chris, thanks for your comments. I am happy to hear you’re getting into a house now. I definitely prefer my most recent sleeping platform to the drivers seat. But at the time I was attempting to illustrate how much room the Crosstrek has, even from the driver’s seat. Thanks for watching and please, keep the comments coming.

You need to watch some videos on how to car camp dear. Leave the driver seat open and always ready in case you have to leave in an instant. You never know when there may be a situation when you will have to leave immediately. Safety is #1. Don't dirty up pillows using them on the floorboards (and feet, lol). As mawzthefinn says, use the passenger side, or better yet the back passenger side, by folding down the seat. You can use your cooler or your food box/tote or some other of your necessary items for support behind the front seat. This way the front of your car always looks 'normal' for when you are shopping, or site-seeing, and such. Don't give up :) Have fun. Stay safe!

I love your candor! I would put the pillows back in the cargo area where I got them. You should check out Ep. 24 where I show how to build an 88” folding platform that fits in a 3rd of the cargo area with the rear seats up. Ep. 16 was just supposed to illustrate how much room there was for a tall person without a platform. Thanks for watching and commenting.
