Humm... That's what happens when young, ambitious farmers have to much time on their hands...no looting or protesting... just twin turboing a 1957 tractor... Great job!!!

I just watching this video for I don't know what time now cuz I've watched it so many times I can't get over how much power they make it sound awesome and it's in my home state of Pennsylvania but I like when you said no protesting or looting cuz I kind of also works for 2020 cuz all the crazy crap is going on

That is awesome, I've seen a 730 with one turbo. This just looks and sounds great!! If you could please do another one including a walk around please I'd love to see more.

Wow, now that's one helluva tractor!!! Considering you have boosted 184 pto Hp out of a tractor that was built over 57 years ago (1956-1958) and originally designed to produce only 57 pto Hp. That's a 323% increase in power! Now that's just plain awesome. Sure wish I had your time and money. LOL :-)

That's over 700ft/lbs of torque. Spectacular!

WTF? How does that little thing put out more power than a 7810?? I'd love to see that thing pulling a 30 ft cultivator. lol
@ap3xglide9625 жыл бұрын
Haha im shure it would but not as it sits since it likely doesnt weigh enough. But if you weighted it up right and maybe got more tire on it

id hate to think what was going on down in the gear train on that one,,,and torque!!! at 1350!!! Gonna need 7x radiator surface area.....

you can hear the pto clutch slip at 1:30 and again at 3:13 in the video. I have a 3 ft long hand lever to engage the pto clutch

Blue Truck : What kind of peak torque numbers did she turn? That is one thing I'd really like to know.
@josephshakal90177 жыл бұрын
184hp @ 1350rpm equates to 716 lbft torque.

I want to know why you put twin turbos on the tractor although it sounds good but id like to see a 1949 john deere A with 2 turbos on it and if i may ask what kind of turbo's are you running id also like to see a antique john deere run 2 Paxton superchargers on one and see the difference between a turbo and 2 superchargers or use both at the same time ik that will be alot if air pumping into the combustion chambers although good job on the work but be careful on doing to that engine they wasn't made to put any turbo's on a two cylinder tractor like that but it was nicely done
@orestmedvid27044 жыл бұрын
Hey awesome video to impress some of us old school 2 cylinder John Deere mechanics But how much horse power ,torque what. RPM and how did you arrive at that RPM on a 540 RPM ASAE Pto shaft Thanks most impressive otherwise

Dang, imagine what you could get out of an 830.
@tractorboy318 жыл бұрын
id like to see the real hp. put on a belt dyno but they might have screwed that up with turbo location
@jessesyfie70679 жыл бұрын
How do u get the PTO to hold up with that much power on the dyno?, and why didnt Deere installed turbos on the 2 cylinder diesels back in the day, the 730s and 830s would have been wicked. Not no 55 boost but resonable? Im sure u couldn't use this 720 in the field pulling or it would heat. Great video!
@colethrasher48299 жыл бұрын
Jesse Syfie because they didn't have the turbos in the late 50's early 60's

Thrasher Farms 1967 right? or am I way off?
@m.geisel7 жыл бұрын
Thrasher Farms they were using turbos and super chargers on WW2 fighters and bomber. They had the tech, the reason I feel they didn't is that they set out to make a set amount of power when they make an update. Since they could meet them NA there's no reason to over complicate and turbo them. Besides, by the end of the 20 series they had been deep in the design of the new gen tractors (4010). The 30 series was a thrown together shortly planned series to A: bring in new gen styling cues and to B: hold them over until they ironed out and released the new gen tractors. (That's why the 30 series only lasted 4 model years)

Hale Cooley the 30 series tractors (530, 630, 730, & 830) were made from 1958 - 1961.
