The tuning potential of this engine is enormous, there are versions with this power in stock internals, obviously it is risky but it is feasible. Some builds with forged internal go well over 1000 hp on this engine, it's crazy.

Oh they've known for long but VAG won't allow that. Just as well as they didn't allow those 176kW BiTDIs you could get in Passat for Superb. I honestly think you shouldn't be forced to buy an Audi if you're fine with VW/Škoda levels of comfort and you just want a good engine.

It really isn't actually, the Superb MK2 had the 3.6L R36 engine. 700 hp wasn't abnormal for those engines.

Besides that they got so many unique builds, their car scene is so far ahead from the rest of Europe it’s crazy, coming from a guy in the rest of europe. Here it’s some individuals here and there creating sick builds or german engineering companies with 1000+hp machines.

Skoda has come a long way. I never liked skodas but these new ones are OK. This one though is more then OK. This one is candy. I mean it's so glossy it's crazy. Nice rim and caliper color. But the thing I like most is a 5cyl paired with a dsg. Wow. I love the sound of those 5cyl machines. It's unique.

Beatiful beast! Like older Audio and Volvo 5-cyl engines. Sounds like V10, reliable AF, no limit on power. Volvo 2.4T5 260 stock can easily make 350-400 on stock parts and 600-700 after replacing moving bones ;)

Someone said the modern 2JZ, someone replied no that's the B85, while I agree that the B58 is the proper one I love this engine platform as well, both of then 5 and 6 cyl platforms sounds absolutely magic in their own way. Always felt that the EA888 platform lack something, that 1 extra cyl (and some more trickery haha makes all the difference, those who still not convinced about the volume can look at the Skyline RB's showing the way since way back now. Even so triple 8 is a nice one in itself toom just compared to the bigger brothers that have got more potential still Shout out for Vehicular DIY, go watch what he is doing to a B48 platform and that's a daily too. Sure I love me both the EU, US and Asian sound of larger V8's, V10's aso but we cannot all drive around in that so I find it very cool when people take every day smaller engines and make something serious out of them.
