Any VAG since about time began TBH. Over 60 here and owned loads of Audi's, VW's. Worst for reliability was 85 Ur Quattro which was more a money chasm than pit. The most annoying part when owning the Quattro was the door handle triggers (VW part) were cast and would snap off. Constant, constant eye watering bills. Great when it worked but bank balance glad to see the back of it! Worst Audis for me were the B5s. The B7 was the end for me and I switched to Fords instead. Wife had Golfs with loads of stupid things going wrong with them ALL the time. Her last Golf (2019) started with the washer wipe pump packing up from 2 mths old and all sorts of electrical gremlins. @@Hamisxanot listening to someone who can’t drive and only posts clips of video games lmao. As an actual VW tech I can confirm most VAG cars after 2006 are extremely reliable. In fact it was the 1.8T BAM engines that were known for being unreliable from the pre ‘06 era. Only thing seriously affecting 2L TSI’s is thermostat housing and water pump. 1L and 1.4L TSI engines sometimes suffer from oil separators leaking and the manuals suffer from leaky flywheel bolts due to not enough threadlock on the bolts. All the Japanese cars seriously suffer from far more expensive body work like paint and rust. Compare the price of a thermostat and water pump on a golf r (£1300 at main dealer) to the price of a full respray and full subframe replacement and under seal

Had the major service done straight away (cambelt, water pump, tensioners, DSG and Haldex) then straight to the mappers (The Tuner in Birmingham). It was 135bhp on first run. Got it on a stage 1 to 176bhp. But it goes like it’s got at least 230bhp. 0-60 is 6.9 seconds and it pulls like a war horse! (There’s a 0-60 clip on my channel). So good surprising people off the lights. It’s like a greyhound out the trap! Mine is tame compared to this one though. The Skoda Superb. All cars for all people.

Imagine if that was road legal in Czech Republic. My country is an absolute pain with any kind of tuning. The only way would be paying more money than the cost of the build for all the tech inspection and vehicle approval and homologation for one single unit. And that costs even more than the fine they give you for driving this on the road.
@aminalone9 ай бұрын
ECU and TCU, how would they know.....
@idonotknowwhyyoutubeletsyo58939 ай бұрын
@@aminalone Our technical inspection is really detailed and strict. First, you pass an emissions test that is measured independently without communicating with the ECU. Then they open the bonet and check if your vehicle has the correct parts from the factory, or legally approved spare parts with the correct specs. No parts which aren't from the manufacturer(or licensed spares of the same specs) are allowed, even if they are inspected and approved parts. The engine and car has to be 100% stock how it came out from production. Except brakes, exhaust(untouched cat), wheels and suspension. Then your suspension, lights and brakes get inspected for working order, manufacturer specs and legal specs. They also connect a scan tool to the ECU to check for electric system error codes.
@edwardfrancis93109 ай бұрын
Wow
@idonotknowwhyyoutubeletsyo58939 ай бұрын
And the only way to get past the inspection stuff with a modded car is making your own homologation for a vehicle(really expensive) Or just bribing the inspectors to let it slide(more often done with emission tests) which is a classic way of everything in this corrupted country.
