What a wonderful character, a great way to teach young, and old visitors, all about our amazing history. Smashing guy. Have been a few times to the tower ,he makes me want to go there again, to catch up on what I missed

If you’ve never seen Yeoman Warder Bill Callaghan doing his tours, they’re great. He has since retired but he can still be enjoyed on KZbin.

Our first tour was with Bill Callaghan who was fabulous but now retired. We have had several tours since with other Beefeaters who are all excellent. They work hard at their craft and are interesting and entertaining. If you visit the Tower be sure to take the tour. You will be well rewarded, it’s a great 45 mins. They bring the Tower and it’s associated British history to life! We look forward to another visit, hopefully.

Fun fact, Richard's deformities were very real, and not just a myth, as historians previously thought.
@shellieeyre87586 жыл бұрын
CAPDude44 - indeed; and the princes disappeared in the summer of 1483; there's really only one person culpable in their disappearance and/or death and that's the bloke who took the crown and was supposed to keep them safe.

Are you sure? His skeleton showed one shoulder slightly higher than the other not a hunchback.
@rambler2415 жыл бұрын
@@brontewcat Not a hunchback as you say. He suffered from scoliosis, severe curvature of the spine, as his skeleton showed when his skeleton showed when exhumed it Leicester in 2012. Shakespeare and many of his contemporaries didn't respect Richard, and so the "hunchback" myth was recorded for history.
