Always nice to see another old one running and that exhaust looks like a good bit of kit, it's a pity they don't do them for bikes like mine but that would be asking to much for the more obscure machinery I run. Not that I could afford new, I have to keep patching up my old ones, at least until I get some income again, £10.00 a week doesn't go far.

Dino I would have gone with some button head Allen bolts for that exhaust instead brother, it's just too easy to strip those JIS head screws, and much more of a pain in the ass to get them off, but at least you did put anti seize on those bolts... I think anyway

I just started vintage road racing last year. I'm having the time of my life. I've acquired three 76-77 CB550's. My A bike, the one I campaigned last year, was partially built by someone else, and finished by my crew and me. I'm currently building a B bike to run the three hour Big Fish, Small Pond Race in Loudon New Hampshire. It's nice to see others taking a huge interest in the older bikes. Great video! As a post-script, I'm using your fiberglassing techniques from the last bike to make custom rear seats for both bikes! Keep the videos coming!

First up thanks for your time and videos. I copied your clutch tool and was most impressed as it works perfectly and was my first self made tool. I just spent 6 hrs on my 1978 arranging engine parts and cleaning. Have to start the list of parts but first i need to find out what i got and what not. I am sure I paid too much for a total basket case but again it is a hobby. And I am lucky as i did my first one 30 years ago, then in Germany now in Australia. And congrats to the running first start. Great feeling.

Well Done, Good Memories !! I had one, same year 73? or 74? CB 750 in Finland, back in1980-1985, made it 900cc, with Yoshimura "tune up', and 4-1 power pipe. had Dunstall tank, front windshield, seat, dual rotors in front,...., that bike was so, so fast, was racing with Kawasaki 1300, did even =) So, top speed about 235-240 km/hr = 150 miles per hour, at early 80's that was pretty goooood ! Send your e-mail address, I send couple photoes for you! Thanks, nice bike, I sure miss it =))

I've got a '76 CB750 with four in four pipes that are badly roached. I'm considering installing an aftermarket four in one exhaust. Did you re-install the original air box or did you go with K&N single sir filters? Have you heard the old thinking that you have to rejet the inner two carbs to get the engine to run right? Just curious to hear what your thoughts are on rejetting the carbs because of the four in one pipe and air filters. Thx.
