Nice shot with the drill!... I can't get over how fortunate that was.. I know it's a little thing overall... but it's one of those very satisfying things...I can just hear the TR going, "Ahhhhh..."

Good stuff Dave, I certainly cant drill straight like that, I alway use a hit-able screwdriver right from the off with those rascals cos they often lock up in the taper, nice rear set up, need to modify the Vitesse, the rotoflex shaft isn't good

waited 7 minutes to see brake adjustment Where is it ???????
@cheftush4 жыл бұрын
Simple turning of the small square headed nut on the bottom of the brake back plate at the very bottom. Adjust it until you can’t turn the drum by hand and then back it off until little resistance is felt.
@patlavo60137 жыл бұрын
Yep, very easy to strip .... I usually start at 12 then I go to 16 ft pounds in a cross patern

I was looking to learn how to adjust the rear drum brakes.. You should correct your title to how to adjust your hub nut..

Nice vid! was wondering whats your Rim/Tire combination?
@cheftush9 жыл бұрын
Hi. Not sure if I ever answered this question....better late than never I guess. I am running 16 X 7 Konig rewind rims, graphite with a polished lip. I am running Yokohama 205/60/16 tires. Cheers, Tush

Who cares what day it is, what time it is and what the weather is? It's a video about adjusting brakes and THAT is why people are clicking on the video!

Good thing you have the option not to watch….

Why do you bother watching Gary? You don’t seem to enjoy my videos based on your comments so simply don’t watch. I’m ok with that!

George, this is a critical area..if you don’t get this right...your wheel comes off. I leave the rear hub rebuilding to the triumph experts. Sorry.

…good video - how much was the torque when adjusting ? Thanks.
@cheftush9 жыл бұрын
Hi Joey. Manual calls for 11-16 ft/lbs of torque as they are fine threaded studs going into the aluminum trailing arms. I usually do the max torque of 16 ft/lbs.

Hi cheftush - many thanks ! By the way, a nice TR selection you have in your garage, I'm fully occupied to keep my TR 6, early european PI version running …;-)….

Can you tell me what color white you painted your car with? Getting ready to paint mine white and have tried a couple different whites and still not satisfied. Really like your color code.
@cheftush5 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony, I had the paint buffed and colour matched digitally when I removed the dash crash pad. I think it’s pretty close to the original new white colour. Unfortunately, I don’t have the code for it...I still have the can (I used Sikkens) but I don’t think the codes are legible any more. I’m away fro home currently but can have a look for you when I return in about 1 weeks time.

The screws aren't really needed as the drum is held on by the wheel..

Like I said. Don’t watch. Hey, here’s an idea! Why don’t you make a video to show me how to do it?
