Iv been waiting for someone to do A comparison with the 506 because I tested mine against two others and noticed slight differences when reading the CCA ratings.

You can do these tests with a simple volt meter. Just watch your voltage as someone cranks the engine, and if it drops below 9v, the the battery has a dead cell. The starter is your load tester. You can also put a clamp meter on your starter wires and see what it's actually pulling. The better meters will have a Min/ Max feature; so then you can get the spikes a lot better. An even better tester would be a 2 channel scope, looking at voltage and also a clamp amp meter. You don't get exactly the CCA, but you can still see if the battery is good or not, just based on the voltage drop.

The autel doesn't measure internal resistance and the SOH at 100% is suspect. Even brand new batteries don't test at 100%. Don't know how reliable the autel is compared to topdon and foxwell.

Great video sir! I sold my XTool D8BT as I was not happy with it. Recently picked up the OTOFIX D1 (Autel DIY) and also the OTOFIX BT1 Lite (Basicslly the same as Autel BT506 but orange). Works great and has battery voltage on the scanner and test works great! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKaal2h9mailmpY
