You forgot one essential question that the Pilot Monitoring must ALWAYS ask... "when is the FBW A380 being released?" 😉🤣

Hi Emanuel! Thank you so much for your very informative tutorials - your work is irreplacable :) A320 is going to be second airliner that I am going to fly because I have my personal opinion that I would like to really master and understand the plane rather than to know which buttons I should click in which sequence. During last year I was able to master Boeing 737 thanks to your videos (of course as for home-made flight simmer pilot ;) ) and now it's time for Airbus, thanks to your very informative videos! Thank you again that you want to share your knowledge with the whole community :)

Forma boa de tornar estes vídeos úteis é registar em um bloco de notas e fazer a revisão antes de Voar qualquer Airbus. Fantástico

Just a comment on your previous tutorial .... when discussing the MCDU setup for performance, you only entered values based on the preliminary load sheet and never came back to discuss any changes from the final load sheet :-) Love the tutorials (just as much as I did for the PMDG 737!)

Hi, that’s why we took the preliminary data rather conservative and calculated them with a bit higher weight. We didn’t need to come back and recalculate then.

Sind die Emergenxy Callouts nicht auch Teil des Briefings?

Emi, what do you think about the smarter briefing concept versus the ones you were doing before? I've read more about the smarter briefing concept and I see the benefits of it, but I still find myself gravitating more towards the CTWOF briefing which is charts, terrain, weather, operational and fuel. I'm curious what your thoughts are and what your preferred briefing is.

I very much prefer the smarter briefing. It focuses on those things that are really important. When we used the „conventional“ style at my old airline there were so many things that you just said without even properly thinking about them. Which PM will pay attention to the one millionth track distance check? Only to eventually miss something that does become important…

@@A330Driver that's a good point and I find I'm gradually simplifying my briefings to be more like that than with the extra "fluff" that you can refer to the chart and see for example. You're absolutely right about there being a low chance of anyone remembering the millionth track distance check. I guess that's why going over everything silently and methodically is so important so that the briefing is simple, straight to the point and engaging which helps ensure the crew is on the same page.

Kann man den Aufbau des Briefings im FCOM finden? Wenn ja, auf welcher Seite?
@A330Driver
@A330Driver 7 ай бұрын
Manche Firmen haben es ins FCOM eingefügt, andere nicht. Das hängt also ganz von deiner Firma ab. Ich würde im Normal Procedures->SOP Bereich suchen. Eventuell auch im QRH.

The only thing missing here is the Emergency Briefing, Failure before V1 and after V1 from PF in case of example engine failure. Otherwise really good explanations !

There is no emergency briefing conducted per Airbus SOP. What's in here is everything that is part of the briefing nowadays.
