In older version of infinite flight, there were no working instruments. I did lot of HUD flying in it. HUD makes flying really easy. It completely takes away the effort of looking into the instrument and outside again and again.

This is great information. I'll be a good reference video to go back to. It should help me landing with a cross wind using the rudder which I've struggled with. Can't wait to try it tonight.

Awesome stuff 👌🏻 just put the TDZ elev of the runway you are shooting the approach for when u are programing the HCP. Keep this amazing info coming captain

Nice video. How to know if the Localiser and GS are centred? Like on the PFD you centre them with the diamonds but I am struggling to understand where to centre them on the HUD? Like what is the reference point on the HUD that the diamonds are on the PFD? Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the tutorials, they are great! I have a question, I just performed an approach and at the final I had "No AIII" displayed on the HUD. I had both radios tuned to the ILS frequency and Elevation + Runway Length set on the HGS panel. Any ideas what did I miss in order to have the AIII enabled?

When you're on the ILS localized range I should change the localized number on the center console to active? Then click LOC and APPR on the autopilot panel to catch it ?

Most US operators (PMDG have verified configs for them included with all liveries in the ops center, just use those and you'll see), in the rest of the world they're not so popular. Dutch Corendon also has some 738's with HUD.

I'll have to look to see if you've already done this but I'd like to learn about all the different categories. I'm not really sure even how to ask but I believe there are Cat1, Cat2, etc approaches or landings maybe takeoffs? I suspect it has to do with weather conditions and visibility but what's the difference between them and how to do them? I know there is a ton of things to learn. I appreciate your tutorials!

Hi Bob, the different categories provide different minima, the higher the category, the lower the minima you can use. CAT II and III have to be flown as Autolands, unless you have the HUD installed, then you can do them manually as well. I suggest to run a google search on the topic though, there's far more behind the topic than what I could list here.
