The soviets also used the chicom during the soviet afghan war, though a majority were the type 56, a few t81's were seen, and the soviets mostly had sewn together mag pouches, or just pouches, most of the time RD-54 pouches if they couldn't get ahold of the t56, also this is another reason why the Lifchik was made (basically a soviet copy of the t-56)

Legitimately no offense but those cheap reproductions are very poor quality. I have a new type 56 and I have a chicom type 81 that's dated and it's as old as I am. The canvas is a much better material, the flaps are better, the toggles are sewn on better on the old one. It seems brand new after 30+ besides that military surplus smell
