Anson Williams was just as funny as the others. Having that name Potsie was more humbling than being called Fonzie. Malph was a crackup also and when got mad he would say "You're such a Potsie". Hard to believe its been 50 years since Happy Days made its debut.

Anson got his start on Happy Days in 1974 when the show premiere not 1972 as depicted in this shaky video.

The original statement in the video is partly correct. Ron Howard, Marion Ross, and Anson played Ritchie Cunningham, Marion Cunningham, and Potsie Webber respectively in a 1972 episode of Love American Style, Love and the Happy Days. Happy Days, which premiered two years later, is based on that Love American Style episode.

He was born on September 25, 1949. In less than 6 months Anson will be 75. His actual age being 24 in Season 1 of Happy Days most actors had a fictional age in their roles. He, Richie and Ralph were 17 year olds. They never revealed their real ages.
