The first thing that pops into my head when you mentioned slinky toys was at the beginning of Ace Ventura: when nature calls. When Ace is leaving the monastery and the slinky stops a step or two from the bottom of the stairs.

Nice to see those slinky’s were shrink-wrapped. Do not recall in my past seeing that. Also, load securement is an art. Nice job strapping those coils. Doesn’t look like they we be moving around anytime soon

I always used a piece of pvc pipe for reels.... you can hook the chain into it and push it through the reel.

Use to hall those what I called stinky slinkies. I used a 12’ fiberglass painters pole. It would slide down to about a 4’ and fit in the headache rack good but didn’t weigh anything. Also I’ve been enjoying the older videos that have been coming up lately. You and Bailey stay safe and keep the rubber side down.

Bolts, screws and other assorted fasteners are usually made from "Slinky coils" in my late teens, I used to make screws at an iron fabrication place I worked at. Could be a dozen other things it's used for ,but that's what I made anyways.🤠👍 Stay safe and healthy Dan!!!

Used to haul a lot of the coils like that. In a dry van and reefer. But they were on a stand. All of them went to Hickory NC. They made springs out of them there. Forklift dropped one back in the day. Almost killed the driver standing close to his flatbed.

Dan I have never used a chain “puller” but I have hooked the chain in the end of the pipe and pushed the chain through…mine was made out of 3/4 pvc pipe with a piece of 3/4 aluminum rod in the centre( to keep it straight)…I kept it in with my dunnage..

A few videos ago, you mentioned that you were being judged by viewers on the pronunciation of city/town names. I would not be concerned at all. F them. The signage on the road doesn't have the phenetic spelling and in most cases, locals say it different than the same city name in other places. New Orleans is the perfect example. Illinois with the silent s is another. I wouldn't give it a second thought. Great videos.

You can just put the Hook on the end of the pipe, and use that tee as a handle, and I would tighten that small joint on one pipe that was it would never come off, you know how things vibrate going down the road, I found some 3/8’s rebar, and bent one end, run it thru and hooked the chain on it - hooking it to the end of the pipe, you should be able to push it thru and do a jerking motion and get it to drop off so you can stay on one side, either way - paint that pole Orange to match your truck- plaster your name on it - so it don’t walk off. Now give Bailey a cookie, and drive Safe. 🤠♥️✝️🇺🇸🐾🦴
