Kelsey, man you are fricken HILARIOUS on some of these simulator videos. When it says you crashed, but your response is, "There is NO WAY that was a crash!" I crack up every time. As an amateur race driver, I have had similar encounters with video driving games. "There is NO WAY 'X" move caused a crash," "Real cars don't respond like this," etc. I have every degree of faith in you when you find the video game is far more unforgiving than real life...and even when the video games are completely unrealistic. I feel your pain, man. Makes one wonder, "Why did they program it to do this? That's not what really happens." Oh well, thanks for the informative videos you post and for these videos, which keep me laughing at your frustrations with unrealistic game scenarios.

Dear Kelsey, as an aircraft enthusiast i really enjoy your videos, because there is very much to learn from and its moslty funny to watch. In this video you said, that in germany they would never let you do a high speed climb. Unfortuantly, thats true. The cause is, that our airspace is very small and we have some highly frequented airspaces like Frankfurt am Main (80 km south of my home) or Hamburg or Munich. Also our Military Pilots are very handicaped by this small airspace and the german reglementations. I know the times when i was young, we didn´t have these reglementations here. When i was a child i could see Tornado jets doing low-level passes directly above our garden. Sometimes i was sitting on the upside of our swing, looking up to them and sometimes it felt like they were within reach, even if they were 100 meters above me. I really miss that time today, it was the time when my love for aircrafts where born. Back in these days, our airspace wasn´t that highly frequented than these times. The last years, especially our german fighter pilots were very happy to do a big part of their flight school in america and sometimes in wales flying the mach loop. But today, this training is canceled because it has been to expensive for our government. Now they had to train above the east or north sea. Even if they want to do a barrel roll, they need to ask for permission. Thanks for your videos! I really enjoy them! Best regards Phil

Hey Kelsey! I am a commercial aviation student at DSU, a primary 141 flight school for the south east. My friends and I (some newbies, some working on their CFII) have tried to launch a 747 in Microsoft flight sim 2020 from our native airport, KRNV. We have managed to launch, but flying the pattern and landing is a bit more difficult. I would love to see you try to land at that port since its home to quite a few aviators from the southeast! Ironically, someone who never flew before got the closest, so I think it would be a fun exercise to see what a person who is familiar with the aircraft could do. Keep in mind we were doing it from the first person perspective XD

DUDE: Thank you. your videos have inspired me again. I am 26 and my lifelong childhood dream was to be a pilot. unfortunately due to means and access that dream never happened. when i was in 5th grade I bought FSX and immediately became addicted to it. I probably have over 10,000 hours in it and I've been mostly training in the 737-800. i even went to build my own complete overhead panel and was working on the MIP when i was in 7th grade. again unfortunately as i started working at 16 and was starting trade schools that project came to a stall. up till recently i just used a Saitek joystick and simple keyboard controls then a few months ago i bought a 2nd hand flight sim yoke which i loved the difference in feel. then I found a man in a neighboring state who was selling his home built 90% complete 737 Cockpit for a fairly reasonable price. So i planned on purchasing but ended up in the hospital to witness the birth of my first born. And in that moment watching this new addition of life I realized I had given up on my dreams and fell victim to the same routine dreaded work my father and his before him have done along with so many working class people. Well fate was on my side. As we were in the recovery room i was strolling on marketplace at all the recommended aviation stuff that always pops up because i search it so often and there it was. I See a little 2 seater single engine mid wing aircraft for sale. the asking price was just a little higher than the simulator and to anyone who knows full cockpit simulators aren't cheap but often cheaper than a real aircraft. So i messaged the guy and turns out it was only 1.5Miles from the hospital. So told the wife and kid i was going to get food. well after a 5 min drive and an hour of amazing conversation with the gentlemen. I bought my first airplane!! Also to note I got a good deal because turns out it was a donation to the local EAA chapter and the money was going to the kids camps so it was truly a perfect situation. I got back to the hospital and after dancing around the question of where had i been i told her where i went and what i had purchased. to my surprise she was overwhelmingly supportive and encouraged me to pursue my dream. she said "well, you gave me a kid which makes me happy so whatever you want that makes YOU HAPPY!!" so at this point in time i have the plane in my garage and I plan on starting lessons as soon as the weather breaks. Going for my sport first, then PPL then the sky is the limit. Just wanted to say thank you. I started watching your videos few months ago and you put the spark back in the engine for me and made me realize how feasible it could be. Also the local EAA guys couldn't have been welcome. Thanks again. Happy Flying, Godbless & God Speed.

I can'T believe his skill actually transfers to a "game" in 3rd person view doing stunts on small airfields with a high speed approach. It's crazy how good his first approach was!!

When he hit the mountain the plane was going 130 knots which is very slow for a 747 on approach , and after the plane hit the mountain it was going 111 knots so the plane stalled and crashed into the water.

"Too high? Watch this." - This sounds like a student telling "I can;t do that? Hold my beer" before doing something stupid xD

It’s really getting fun to watch you and getting to know your personality you are really funny and so focused on getting these games right😂 so you understand this comment is coming from a really old person😂😂

I freaking love how I am guessing the plane brushed on like the tip of the tallest tree on that hill and the game is like 'nope' 😂😂😂

One way to get closer is you can increase the game speed by using "+" to make the game run x2 or x4 fast until you're closer and then slow it back to x1 using "-"

I've crashed just sitting on the runway with high winds and it makes the plane bounce just a little and says it crashed. lol

I've landed in St Barts many times and you're going the wrong way. 😂 Even in a Twin Otter it's bloody scary... I lived on nearby Anguilla and our house was next to the runway on a hill level with the glide path. One day looking out the kitchen window we were shocked to see a KLM 747 fly past. There then followed a LOT of engine noise as it aborted...realising the mistake. It was supposed to land at Julianna St Maarten! At 5,461 it may have just stopped but it would have been fun taking off again! 😁

When you crashed into the mountain you didn't see it was in fact a mid-air collision with a colibri humming above the trees.

He could also edit the fuel load and weight, default is around half of max takeoff weight with 50% fuel load. Next time he should try it with a sport 747 with no payload and 25% fuel.
