First time I met him was in 2014 at a protest against the Israeli bombing of Gaza, and he was there throwing his football to the kids while the older folks chanted for Justice. Before I left Kansas City, I don’t think there was a single protest, parade or festival that I went to where I didn’t run into Super Jesus. He is a legend and an icon.

I have respect for this man because of him not attaching the speaker preaching about violence & deaths / negativity about what's going in the world separate from the entity he created with his history, because instead of doing the easy thing and putting on the Superman outfit when he's on the corner. This is the KC Superman, also know as Mr. Wheeler. He is also one of my best friend's, Jordan, grandfather. Jordan and his younger brother Jaden can actually be seen in the video where they are eating (boys in grey and spiderman shirt). His daughter, Sommer, is like another mother to me. Whole family is full of great people. It's no wonder KC Superman is so great. Always great when i see him

I think every city has a local legend like this. In my hometown of Lansing, MI we had an old dude like this called Mr. Party who went around almost nightly dressed up in a top hat and suit, and handed out flowers to the nightlife. I just moved to KC last year and this is my first time hearing about the KC Superman.

I was doing the Kansas City Marathon Event 5 years ago (2017) and I my mother & I met him there. He was an awesome man. Played football with him & my mom danced with him during the KC Marathon after party. They had a local singer in the metropolitan area who sang Lady Gaga & Madonna songs. At the KC Marathon event in 2017, he did the 5k race. I did the Half Marathon. I did this race and it was the best race and toughest race I ever did in my entire life. Everything that this race advertised was by far to the T. Not one thing was wrong. That was a race to remember. It was the first race I ever did outside of my home state. That race (half marathon was by far) a race to remember for the rest of my from the expo the day before, to the gun/fireworks, the actual race, the finish line, and the after party with a concert. You will never get that ever again unless it is the Major 6 Marathons. As for KC Superman/Super Jesus. This guy is by far an awesome man and has alot more energy than even me after finishing a race.

In Pensacola Florida we have a guy called the running man.....he would run in a more of a sideways shuffle way. But he would always run with this giant American flag . He was a local hero...every one would drive by him and honk and he would give a wave or a thumbs up. Sadly he is older now and u don't see him much any more. Mr wheeler is such a beautiful person . I use to live in the historic northeast Kansas City .near a halfway home for people leaving prison . Mr wheeler would be up there every week helping these people transition to the world. He is truly a beautiful man
