A very good informative tutorial on hollowing. Personally I have a Sorby Hollowmaster, which I bought cheap from ebay and I've never had a problem with it but the Simon Hope camera system does have a distinct advantage but as you said it's expensive. Thanks James

icespeckledhens hi James. I have also used the Robert Sorby hollower and enjoyed the experience. Thank you so much for the nice and usual nice comment. Thanks once again. Tony

Hi Tony, A great video explaining all the different methods of hollowing. I have bought a Vicmarc Hollowing system with a Simon Hope Laser, rather than a camera. Funnily enough, I bought it from Simon himself. I now have some pieces of wood I can hollow, so wish me luck. Cheers, Huw

Hi there Tony, That is a good hollowing system, very interesting to watch. I watch your video's most of the time. I am 64 years old and started learning about woodwork in general around 6 years ago and am still learning, I love the challenge. Hope you can keep going for years to come. Kindest regards from Bill in Australia. :)

@@tonymeadley8444 Thank you very much there is one or two things I'm not sure on one is sharpening my chisels and are Carbide easier to use
@tonymeadley84444 жыл бұрын
Colin Roberts carbide tools are less likely to get a catch. However I prefer traditional tools by far. Once you master them. As for sharpening it all depends what you are sharpening them with. I use a Robert Sorby ProEdge witch I find very easy indeed. If you are using a wheel then they are some excellent videos on KZbin. Cheers Tony
