not everyone has to become 90 years old . would it not be beneficial to the world if less people become 90 years old , sure would safe in resources. 80-85 depending on my mobility would be more than enough and im only 40 and have a kid. but also realize old age isnt everything you ever wanted , know plenty of people in their 90's who lost everything and everybody close around them and even had to bury some kids and grandkids not something to look forward to. same here their family would most likely be better of if he doesnt become old and they have to care for him and their own kids as i dont think retirement is in the package.

It's quaint, but what do you do with it? i think if you put it on the stove top it would crack. May work over open fire, but get really dirty, or it could go into the oven. probably pretty heavy and not very comfortable to use

It's not used on open fire at all. It's placed on a thick metal plate which is placed on open fire, same as clay pots used in Europe. The metal lowers the temperature and distributes heat more evenly and slowly. This way, the pot isn't exposed to very high temperature gradients and doesn't break.
