The Bruce Family will get their $75 million beach back, thanks to a new California bill. Charles and Willa Bruce purchased Los Angeles beach front property in 1912 and turned it into a resort open to Black customers. It was taken away from them by the government in the 1920s. The land that was originally sold to the Bruce’s for $1,225 is now valued around $75 million. With Governor Gavin Newsom’s signature, Bruce’s Beach will actually be owned by a Bruce. #InsideEdition

Not only would that cost the taxpayers in that county millions, but it would also cost the taxpayers in the entire state. So then money would have to be pulled from other resources, like fixing roads to the educational system in that state. In the end the state would be so broke for so long that property values would go down just so they could sell more land to try and pay it back, but they'd almost never recover from it. Plus I'm pretty sure that Bruce doesn't care. Not saying he doesn't care where his roots came from but more than likely in a couple of years if not even in the next ten years. He's probably just sell it back to the county, city, state, or whomever wants to buy a beach. I'm sure he's just putting the option of selling it in his back pocket for the time being. 🤷🏻‍♂️who knows🤔

This really angers me. "LA County just may have to pay them rent?" What about all the years of money that was profited by the city government when they illegally stole the family's property away from them under, "imminent domain!" Imminent domain does NOT include or allow the city government to steal land away from a land owner because of the color of their skin. The money profited from this land dating back through the years should be repaid to the family & YES, rent too, for anything the city government does on the Bruce's land moving forward!
