They are Loaded brand, are made from bamboo, and come in many different flex amounts for different body weights. I have a loaded deck myself, and I think it whoops ass. I love it.

orrrrr spend the same amount on a diy board, put in a little work, and have a 25+ mph 15+ mile range board. diy is the wave yall. also my estimations are very general, my current build is about 800 and predicted to be about 35+ mph, and 20+ range. just depends on your gearing, battery motor stuff

I was hoping for a more in depth look at the difference in performance. The mini has HALF power vs the V2 (1,000 watts, v2 has 2,100). Surely the acceleration must feel lacking, especially so when riding uphill. Also was curios how compatible the batteries are. (Will a XR battery from the X model work on the S?, will a standard battery from a v2 work on the S?) Anyways it was still a nice review, I just don't feel like I got the full picture.

On the website product page it says "Standard range and extended Range batteries are not interchangeable" (Boosted Boards, 2018) So to me that means that it's only removable probably by boosted themselves when the board comes in for service. I'm almost positive you can't buy extra batteries because they've never done that with the previous boards.

Awesome review as always! Looks well built and a great addition to the Boosted lineup. There are also many other good boards available now, from many manufacturers, with their own strengths and weaknesses. It's also relatively easy to build your own custom board, which you can find many videos on. I think Boosted is the undisputed leader only when it comes to marketing and brand recognition.

The only reason you would consider boosted board as your transportation is its portability (6~7kg). They seem to have very limited battery of 2,000 watts meaning an average ride distance of 11km on full charge (if your commute distance is at least 4~5km you should multiply that by 3 to be safe!). Basically no suspension and maximum speed is about 35kmh. Not to mention if you wanna go up hill you need the Boosted Dual that costs $1000+. For its current state it is a very niche product and I suggest for people to hole off until they become much more refined.

I used to wonder this too. I had the Evolve GTX as my first e-board last year, and after having 3-4 issues/breakdowns with it the final straw was when the remote locked into full speed in GT mode and would not let me brake for about 50 meters. I could have easily been killed, so I demanded a full refund and ordered a Boosted board. What's the difference? User experience. Boosted boards have a really easy paring process, you get an app on your phone, the build quality is on another level, they have Apple-like support, the boards are light and look good, and are just ridiculously reliable and tough, they're made to be abused. So that's why most people don't care about Evolve or Enertion or Inboard - they don't have anywhere near the same user experience, they do have great specs on paper though.

icerew completely!? Not sure about that. I can’t comment on raptor but I have the elvove carbon and that shit sucks. The most unreliable board you can own. It’s more expensive then boosted, made with cheap parts from China and the god damn remote loses connection with the board. ( new remote the r2 did not fix this issue ). So no it’s not better then the boosted board maybe on range but that’s about it. I would like a raptor 2 in the future or at least try one. I heard the waiting time on those are long, like almost a year.

Yeah I forgot to mention that Evolve uses garbage Chinese parts on their boards. What put me off Evolve the most is that they sold thousands of boards with those god awful remotes which were outright dangerous and not ready for public use, and only when most of the community complained endlessly did they update it - 3-4 years later! Evolve purely cares about the bottom line and profits, they don't care about their customers and they don't care about skateboarding.

I used to race longboards downhill, the trucks should be adjustable but what will make them feel looser is the stiffer deck. More of your lean goes into turning the trucks. Also the shorter wheelbase helps. I never liked the board the boosted board is based on so now they have a shorter stiffer version I may pick one up.

Evolve boards are the best on paper, and that's about it. I sold my Evolve GTX because they are unreliable and frankly dangerous garbage. Evolve has a very non-skateboard like ride, no software or apps, two terrible and unreliable remotes, they're ridiculously heavy and ugly, and they literally use $50 motors from China. Evolve also does't stand behind their product - after 6 months you are dead to them. Boosted will still look after you.

Different , enertion is $1600 and evolve is $1500 to 2,000. So they are not cheaper are they? Plus boosted is reliable and made with parts from the USA. Evolve uses cheap parts from China. Example; evolve charges you $160 plus shipping for one motor but if you do research you can get the same motor “ from China “ for $50. I don’t have a raptor 2 so I can’t comment on it to much. All I know is heard more good things then bad things about raptor 2.
